If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

I'm actually enjoying it. It's not very fitting to my intepretation of how the Halo series should be portrayed. But it is a good piece of work for a web series.

What I love most about the series is how it connects with Halo 4 and the latest Halo Novel The Thursday War. With this web series and the novel I have found out a lot of what has happened in the 4 years Chief was in cryo. Also, Lasky is mentioned a lot in The Thursday War.

I love the series and I'm glad I'm getting the Halo 4 Limited Edition which comes with an extra 15 minutes (I think) of deleted content.

However I think that Chyler Silva dies at somepoint in Part 3 or 4 as she is not present in the Warthog chase finale in Part 5.

And I can't wait to see John, Fred and Kelly fight some Elites in the coming parts. I have a feeling that the fight scenes are going to be badass.
Silva...

WAIT.

Is her dad the ODST Major from the Flood?

You mean Major Antonio Silva?

Interesting ... You know what he could very well be.

Their CO mentions that Silva's parents were killed, making the ultimate sacrifice. She might be related, but not as a daughter.

Thats a pretty cool find good job.

Yeah I agree I like how they are tying all that together.

The Few, The True, The crew

remember ChiFighter= k+eye+fighter

I hate the whole ficken "summer camp" feel of episode 1 atleast.

all boys are overly skinny self-conciousness 16 years olds.

Their are just as many girls in combat as boys (so realistic).

But the biggest problem i have is the totalitarian's being the good guys and the Innie's constantly through halo lore as being shat on.

edit:
upon watching them again. Its clear this is a teenager's sitcom. Which makes since for the MS trying to make advertising to their demographic -------Teenage boys.

Thats fine. Hey its still Sci-Fi right.

at least its not super dooper ultra cool COD with guys with skeleton masks and rap music played over the commercials.

I can honestly say that I hated it. I respect any other opinion, but so far for me it just doesn't cut it. The acting is terrible and all the cliches are there (there is a soldier in you, I can see it).

For me it's some kind of battleship troopers meet the hunger games.

It does not have the feeling that previous short action clips had, like the ODST promos or Halo 3 live actions. It doesn't look serious, It looks like they wanted to save money by hiring amateur actors who overdo face expression to try and look intense.

I think that Halo Reach, Karen Travis books, Halo Legends and Forward Unto Dawn are killing the bad-ass universe I knew and love from the first 7 books plus the forerunner saga.

Well the idea is that it IS a summer camp. Its for children of important UNSC officers.

Also, the UNSC kind of...are...the good guys. The Innies by this point were indiscriminately bombing family diners and nuking entire cities.

Glory and fame, blood is our name!
Souls full of thunder, hearts of steel!
Killers of men, a warrior's friend!
Sworn to avenge our fallen brothers!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die.
Open Valhalla's door!
Let the battle begin, with swords in the wind! Hail Gods of War!

Honestly, I have little interest in it. Might watch the whole thing once it's all released. I'd be more interested in an adaptation of Cryptum.

Well Its a little slow, but it looks like from the preview of the next episode its going to start to pick up. I'm sure the chief will be introduced soon too.

I still need to read that.

I'm excited to see what happens tomorrow.

The opening of episode three is interesting. It seems Cortana's lost it, and she seems to be about to pull the plug on the Master Chief until she suddenly stops and makes references to something stablising her.

It definitely lends credence to the theory that Mendicant Bias is piggy-bagging with her.

Bungie's next project: Sardonicism: Irony Evolved

On a scale of 1 to livid, where will the Arbiter fall when he gets back to Sanghelios and discovers that most of the planet has been battered by the NOVA bomb?

I'm beginning to think that The Flood is a metaphor for the all consuming, self-loathing horror that the forums have become.

This. Episode one was a horrifying attempt to emulate Band of Brothers. Moreover, the actors exude zero charisma.

It's also hugely predictable. You can see them trying to make scenes ominous but the tension is just not there.

Best part of the series has been the elite cutting the spartan statue in half. Bonus points because he had no cheesy lines of dialogue.

PS: the main guy's ODST brother is clearly one of the Spartans (yes it goes against canon, but 343i throw that out with the morning trash).

It was a statue of the Roman general, Axios.

How is it clear the brother is a Spartan?

Obviously not, since he's confirmed to be KIA.

(yes it goes against canon, but 343i throw that out with the morning trash).

Except that FUD hasn't broken any canonical material so far and their work has generally been canonically consistent - much more than it was under Bungie.

Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo. 'Axios' is the Latin phrase for self-worthiness. ;)

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

He read so in the Morning Trash...

Btw, the statue had an AR, so.. wait, are we talking about Spartans or Ancient Spartans? Anyway, one of them could have been easy to mistake for a.. I don't know.

The statue was an ancient spartan,Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo, and they replaced his weapon with an assault rifle.

I don't know about anybody else, but I really liked the latest Episode, I think it was well done.

I am ready for more action though and it finally looks like in the next episode that will happen.

The only thing I think it could do without is laskys and silvas little part haha

Also I can't find anything about a spartan-114 so I don't know who that is.

Spartan 104 it said. That Spartan is Fred.
So it looks like I was right. If Fred is in it then it looks like Kelly will make an appearance as well.

-blam!- just got real. But it was kind of obvious that the blonde woman (forget her name) was going to die as soon as she ran off to the space elevator.

I know who it is supposed to represent, I just thought that it was understandable that DJK might have mistaken the Roman General for an Ancient Spartan, seeing as they are well established in the Haloverse. But then I started questioning whether or not he implyed that it was contemporary Spartan, cause of the AR...
