All the world's for living when love is what you find
Despair and loneliness you've got to leave them far behind
Tell the clouds to go let the feeling show
It's great when life is full of living

Trying to get Waypoint to update Halo 3 stats in detail like here. Now no one can see that my Halo 3 Spartan no longer looks like my Reach Spartan.

Really want to be a Heroic member or have a title. :/

What about when the Precursors unleash the flood on them,
there are not millions of jedi, there are only a few thousand, and because of Darth Bane, there can only be 2 [s]ith.
You can choose:

A) True Halo and Star Wars total universes: Everything to ever canonically exist in the respective universes is included in the battle. This allows for Precursors and Forerunners, as well as millions of Jedi and Sith and Force users.

B) Latest representation of Halo and Star Wars universes: Everything which currently canonically exists in their universes. Meaning far less Jedi and Sith, and no Precursors or Forerunner.

A) The force users can not just rip apart the fleet. Even if there are millions, the combination of Precursor, Forerunner, Covenant, and Human ships are too much. And the covenant can just make a high number of gravity hammers like the Fist of Rukt to manipulate gravity like the force can.

B) There would not be enough jedi, sith, and other force users to rip apart a fleet as big as the humans and covies combined. This would allow the humans to clear a path through the Star Wars ships with their nukes and MAC cannons. Then, the covenant can come in and glass their planets.

So, I choose B.

Star Wars has a living planet.

A FREAKING SENTIENT PLANET

What does Halo have?
Not a living planet.

From experience, I'd say both. Love them both.

Yes, they can rip apart the fleet, a fleet of any size. Size, you see, matters not. There's a myriad of ways they could destroy the entire fleet with the Force, a Force lightening storm, opening black holes, manipulating their own forces or ships against them. And they could protect themselves with the Force as well.

You're arguing against literal space magic, something which surrounds, penetrates, and binds all that is. And on the side of Star Wars, are those with a rudimentary control to a mastery over it.

B) There would not be enough jedi, sith, and other force users to rip apart a fleet as big as the humans and covies combined. This would allow the humans to clear a path through the Star Wars ships with their nukes and MAC cannons. Then, the covenant can come in and glass their planets.

So, I choose B.

Star Wars ships outgun UNSC and Covie ships. By a lot. The power of their shields and turbolasers are far greater than the Halo fleets'. The math is here if you're interested. And on top of their superior firepower they will also know every move the Halo fleet is going to make before they even make it thanks to the precognitive powers of the Force users working in unison.

Whether you pick A or B, the outcome is the same.

Palpatine can create wormholes with the force. Star Wars also has Boba Fett. They automatically win.

Now, there's obviously going to be some hardcore Halo fans flooding in (no pun intended) toting the Halo rings around like some kind of unstoppable death force. As the other guy posted above me, they will not work on the likes of Battle droids and possibly force sensitive users. Not to mention, it would kill everything in the Halo universe as well.

It would not kill everything in the halo universe, because there are still AI's, monitors, sentinels, and everyone who went into a shield world, or outside the galaxy. And who the heck cares if they have Boba Fett? A spartan or two is all it would take to dispose of Fett. And may I ask how Sidious can create wormholes?

To the post above: Maybe a standard covenant ship is outgunned by a star destroyer, but what if the plasma is modified by Cortana to be stronger like in Halo: First Strike? According to Halo: First Strike, the modified plasma cannons on ascendant justice were strong enough to destroy the large asteroids that the insurrectionists lived on.

The Flood is that way brah------->

OT: The Forerunners. This isn't even a contest.

You mean those dead guys who left behind technology that most of whats left of the universe doesn't know how to use?

OT: Star Wars, so long as the halo rings aren't activated.

Halo 4 is sure going to be boring cause you know the forerunners are dead.

^^^ you people act as though the forerunners are dead, they are in fact alive, the forerunner saga takes place before the events of halo 4, and is a segway between halo 3 and 4.

Pit Star Wars against Halo and Star Wars shall win.
Halo Rings have nothing against assassin droids or Battle Droids and the Flood cannot infect them.

Jedi and Sith can call on the Force against Elites and Spartans.

The Death Star can blow up entire planets.

Both Rebellion and Empire have shields on their ships, the UNSC doesn't.

Need I continue?

Get important personnel to the shield worlds, lock them inside, fire the rings, come out a few hundred years later and recolonize.

You mad star wars?

As much as I love Halo and its vast universe, Star Wars does have the advantage of Force users. But about the OPs "Halo array useless against the droids" argument: Battle droids were controlled by living beings. Without them to control them, they would have nothing to do. All other droids were made for a purpose and to serve others. So droids would survive, but they would get bored. And I think the weaponry they have would make pretty fast work of the Flood.

Star Wars wins, but at the cost of everything but droids.

According to what a friend told me the Storm troopers are 9999999999X more OP than anything ever in the books and the death star is -blam!- compared to the other -blam!- they had

I disagree. The Forerunners have never fought anything like the Rakata. As for the Flood, Yuzong Von would make an interesting enemy. I don't think there would be a hands down victory.

Let's be honest now....Star Wars would whip Halo's ass.

Lightsabers can slice through anything.....except for another lightsaber of course.
The Force....I don't even need to explain the badassery.
Death Star
Clones and droids
All those ships man...all those ships...
And a ton of other stuff.

I'm not sure Halo vs Star Wars would work, their physics would contradict each other, it's the same problem as with the 40K universe and some of the other VS threads; one of them involves magic, and the other doesn't.

That's why you have to use your vorstellungskraft

Non-serious:

Halo wins.

-Arbiter is a god: teleportation, resurrection, timed revival, clones. The only way to get rid of him forever is to teabag his corpse on the Ark's activation podium (where Truth lies) or glue his hands to a plasma cannon
-half Flood, it only takes 1 Flood infection form and time manipulation to utilize a Jedi or Sith's body and act as them
-time travelling
-Sergeant Avery Johnson survived Installation 04's destruction and probably survived Installation 04 B since the fight with Guilty Spark was so scripted it couldn't possibly be taken seriously (not to mention Johnson can be saved by killing him before the fight and has hidden dialogue when he gets infected by the Flood). The last level of Halo 3 can be called non-canon for it's horrific level design and apostate Hog run
-Flood Tank Forms can use slide jumps to catch enemies by surprise
-certain Elites can go crazy, defying insurmountable forces
-certain Brute Chieftains can go crazy, super jumping and acting like pimps
-characters in Halo have more epic quotes and speeches. They can easily outtalk their opposition
-Armory skull

Serious:

I'm not sure who wins. It's been a long time since I read up on Star Wars...

-Elites and Spartans will get pwned, but Forerunners may have a chance. The only reason they lost against the Flood was because they did not treat it as a war and did not expect Bias to betray them
-UNSC and Forerunner use AIs
-Spartan John 117 is a lucky bastard
-Arbiter Thel 'Vadam is *still* divine
-certain Elites can *still* go crazy, defying insurmountable forces
-General Grievous could pwn several Jedi, a handful of Promethean Knights could probably do the same
-clone troopers have the worst aim ever. Grunts would pwn them in seconds

Remember those times when we all had something better to be doing, but didn't do it? Those were good times. Gooood times

In space the Halo universe may stand a chance. The second that the fighting reaches the ground it becomes a completely different story, as I doubt a spartan could take a Jedi(although standard infantry/tanks would be somewhat evenly matched)

False: there are examples of truly sentient robotic beings. Most of these truly sentient robots have the ability to assume control of other droids and robots. Take the Great Heap and the Abominors, for example (Odd yes, but true)

I am a monument to all your sins

If the forerunners and/or precursors are involved, Star Wars would be ROFLstomped. Otherwise, Halo would be ROFLstomped.

  • 10.14.2012 7:28 PM PDT

It's a'me, Sesto

It depends on what state each universe is in. If it is a literal full on battle (everything vs everything) it would be insanely complex and has multiple factors.

Like why exactly would all the Jedi and Sith team up and work together? Not really knowledgeable in the Halo universe, but why would the Flood and Humans work together? It'd be a massive battle, but it wouldn't be a clear cut Halo vs Star Wars.

Assuming that everybody on each side magically solved their differences and are friends, probably Star Wars. The combined effort of all Sith and Jedi that have ever existed could probably just destroy everything with the Force...
