The Tech Game

1,000,000+ Members, and still going strong!

When they were more active.

I'd probably answer this a bunch of different ways on different days,
but for today the H3 announcement trailer was a really awesome day.

I have leaked images of your mother, Trebek!

I enjoyed the "Can I have Recon?" threads. Then I hated them. Then they were funny again. Then annoying. Now I miss them.

All counter-arguments to evolution are based on a gross misunderstanding of the theory.

Favorite memories of these forums were back in the private group days. I spent a lot of my time inside Facility B5D.

The day Bungie announced Recon would be available through the Vidmasters.

That was the worst day. Made it not special anymore.

As much as I wanted recon, I hated that announcement.

BUNGLE. And the greatest moderator -blam!- up I've seen regarding it. Bad experience, but memorable.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

I have a terrible memory. I'm sure there's something there in these past years though.

We're all nerds, you can't deny it.

When the flood and a private group I was in was being faced with the possibility of being deleted.

Good flippin' times.

It's Pokémon, not Pokemon!

There is one and only one correct answer.

Porch Day.

Dude remember that super nostalgic moment when we witnessed the FIRST Mail Sack? I was there, dude. Like... just... insane, am I right? I don't think we'll ever see anything like it. And I'm glad I was part of it.

You know, when you're having a bad day, you just gotta let yourself go!

The "DO YOU LIKE PIE!?" thread.

Also the secret of sandtrap thread, too.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Contributing to derailing a thread in the Halo 3 forum about the Flood when an employee mentioned Goldeneye.

Halo 2 clue hunting around Bungie.net during the darkness between Halo 1 & 2. Various clues popped up in hidden corners of the website occasionally... the forums would explode... and darkness would engulf us once more.

It was quite fun back then with all the speculation and excitement on the forums!

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

That...probably means that Laserking has either an insanely accurate logical method of deriving people's reactions to things, or he possesses pre-cognition. Either way:LASERKING for Mods!

Probably back in the day when there was thread calling for more forum ninjas. That's one of my favorite threads that I had a chance to participate in. Also, evilcam, when did you get made a ninja again?! Sorry, it's been over a year since I've actually checked the public forums. lol

The End

‘The conscious is cancerous if allowed to linger’

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

Retrospectively amusing

Being invited not-very-formally to HFCS, by stosh. It was very bizarre feeling being both elated and anxious to the point of pins and needles.

Waking up next morning, and reading this and this #godtierdrunkmoderating

Jeremiah announcing Team Classic would have Assault Rifle primary, Needle Rifle secondary, on spawn.

Being overwhelmed by the success of the Community Pentathlon last January.

Making the hardest mouse clicks ever: PMing Achronos to resign, clicking leave group in HFCS, and removing my custom avatar. This isn't necessarily a favourite, but it sticks out very strongly in my mind and I thought I'd share.

Honest answers:
1. Seeing the Halo 2 Elites holding carbines for the first time (before i had even signed up for an account)
2. The day I became a Mythic Member
3. Joining Halo 3 In The WorkPLace (and many more memories through this group)

Who am I?

mah twitter

Reach forum, all those "casuals vs. tryhards" threads. And when the first credit resets arrived, the amount of butthurt was so amazing. Reach forum was so much fun.
