Since he is disgusted with the Prophets and is out to kill Truth, would the Leader of the Covenant Seperatists destroy his armor and re-don the armor of his days as a Praetor (possibly with special ornamentation, such as that of Elite, Grunt, and Hunter culture, to fit his status as a General and Leader)? It's an easy theory to understand, but I wanted to see what people thought.

A few more questions to answer:

1. How do you think the Master Chief would react to the Covenant Civil War? (Disgruntled, welcoming, etc.)

2. Does anyone think that Dr. Halsey will come back with Kelly-087 and possibly reveal that Commander Miranda Keyes is her daughter?

3. Who (among the supporting characters) do you think will die?

Post your thoughts here.

There is a slight chance he might, it is a good question, my guess is no he won't

Q. How do you think the Master Chief would react to the Covenant Civil War? (Disgruntled, welcoming, etc.)

A. I don't know he might just like to end it, like he said at the end of the game "Sir, finishing this fight"

Q. Does anyone think that Dr. Halsey will come back with Kelly-087 and possibly reveal that Commander Miranda Keyes is her daughter?

A. I don't know, never read the books

Q. Who (among the supporting characters) do you think will die?

Arbiter will die, and Truth, maybe Johnson he really needs to

Read the books "The Fall of Reach" and "First Strike", which perfectly set up Halo 1 & Halo 2, respectively.

In all honesty, if it was between either the Master Chief or Sgt. Johnson dying, I would rather have Master Chief die. Don't ask me why, I don't even know, but I would rather have the Sarge live.

Wow...Johnson's almost as kickass as the chief. He's the most hardcore sergeant ever. Why would you want to kill him off?

The Arbiter would just be another Elite if he returned to his old armor(it was destroyed anyway). Plus I think it's more important to the Arbiter and his rebel brothers to destroy the Halos or whateve Bungie has planned for them.

There are other copies of the armor in the game (look at any Elite Zealot), unless every method of producing a copy was destroyed because of the war.

I think it is also more important to focus on the main plot, but this is a small little bit that could show a little more into his character as a disgusted, vengeance-filled badass like our main man, Master Chief Petty Officer John-117.

Obviously, but I doubt the Arbiter would take armor that other Elites had, that don't even include active camo.

I think that chief will be glad about the Civil war between the covenant. It "should" take some weight off of the MC's shoulders. I don't think that the good doctor will be coming back any time soon, and as for characters, the Arbitor has got to die in a firey blaze of plasma explosions during a large scale fight during the Covenant civil war. BUT, Johnson WON'T die. He is one of the best NPCs in this entire game franchise. I mean, he's always talkin smack, kickin a$$ and takin names. I also think that something is going to happen to cortana, like, i don't know, use your imagination.

OMGosh, did you even play any of the Arbiter levels? The other Elites and Grunts were cloaked before they attacked on the very first Heretic level.

OMGosh, did you ever notice Zealots only carry swords and don't have active camo? And uh, why would you play as a Spec op, you would no longer be the Arbiter, and your just another Elite with the normal rank armor. I'd take Arbiters armor any day.

no, i think that being the arbiter has a meaning to him. i mean the prophets even said it. they said that he could do great things even though he was no longer to lead troups into battle. the other elites and grunts see him as a symbol of hope and i think that he wants to uphold that honor

That was before the death of the Covenant as we know it. You've got to play into the context of the situation.

"There are things about Halo, even the Hierarchs do not understand."

"Take care, Arbiter, what you say is heresy!"

They are pretty much going to be branded as heretics by Truth, that makes his office as the Arbiter officially null because he knows the truth about Halo and is fighting against it.

And the armor is null now too, so it nolonger represents the vangaurd of the Great Journey. It's just armor now. He might as well keep it.

Ok:

1) He has already encountered the civli war, and therefore has knowledge of it.

2) No, Bungie said the books and games would remain seperate entities

3) Master Chief. He will have no purpose after the Covenant are defeated. He will have saved the earth, like he was trained to do, and that will be his end.

Read the idea in my sig as to why the Master Chief may not die.

He still may have a purpose of protecting the galaxy from future threats and/or leading the survivors of the human race.
