We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.
Not a Elitism thread
I personally believe that time is not a very big factor in this case. I believe it's more of and actual experience factor. Basically a Knowledge vs experience type thing. Just being a normal active member doesn't really give you the experience. You have to go through some things if you know what I mean.
In my opinion a veteran member is a member who has experienced first hands the bad situations, and the good situations, and have seen Bungie.net at it's worst. Like the day after bungie day. A member who can show all new users the ropes, and a member has been through all the situations a new user might encounter.
I'll use myself for example. I believe I am a very benevolent type of person. If I notice a new user doing something wrong on the forums i'll pm him, and talk about. Instead of derailing his post, or original post he made. If he ask i'll even explain the history of b.net, well at least all I no. Now i'm not trying to be omniscient. I'm just stating my opinion. If some of you say it's based on time on the site then okay at this example. Lets say a new user creates a thread stating "Bungie when will you release the Halo 4 beta." A 2004 member who says something like, " i'm sick of these halo 4 sites on this site, and a 2008 member simply post Bungie is not in charge of the halo franchise, 343 is at halo.xbox.com. This is not my best example, but you get the point. This shows who the more veteran type member from the behavior.
Sorry I didn't proof read this I have to go, but what is your opinion on a Veteran member community?
Edit it's not the time you spend here, but what you do with the time your here.
