Really, I laugh when people use that acronym without realizing all the meanings it has.
So...because they use the term when context implies one meaning (in this case swagger or material items), the others must also be relevant?
That's like talking about baseball batting averages and some retard mentions how bats are not actually vampires.
Why not just use swagger then? I typically poke fun at the other meanings because the people who use 'Swag' as a word typically are idiots, and I like laughing at idiots.
'So bro you got Swag?'
'It's a brave thing you're doing, coming out of the closet. Congratulations.'
'Da -blam!-?'
'Oh see, 'Swag' used to have other meanings in the past. It used to be an acronym for 'Secretly We Are -blam!-' in the sixties or so if I remember correctly. Although, the original meaning of 'Swag' was actually loot, and now it's used as a short form/separate form of 'Swagger', which has rapidly gained ground in recent years...'
Once I start to go on, the poor befuddled person walks away in confusion, likely wondering if he was insulted.
I am highly skeptical that a conversation such as the one you listed took place.
Once at school. One idiot jock kid who attempts to be 'gangsta' (Rich White Kid, so it's humorous) asked me once if I had Swag at lunch. While that isn't an exact transcript, something similar did happen. Poor fool was clueless as to what happened.
