The best victories are the ones the other side didn't expect.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

No. It's not that serious.

Hell no.

343's website is disgusting, and so are these ideas in my opinion >.<

Sorry burrito, just being honest.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I always supported hell banning. Would probably slow down game leaks on the forums as well.

The Tech Game

1,000,000+ Members, and still going strong!

I like the second idea :D

TRU7H. CARNAGE. BUNGIE

Secret bans and the lag for causing trouble are great ideas in my opinion!

  • 10.18.2012 12:41 AM PDT

I remember the last idea about secret bans being thrown around. I thought that sounded pretty cool however I would prefer to be told what I did wrong and learn from it rather than not find out. Going to your inbox and seeing the soul has sent you a message is scary enough..

It's not like normal bans would cease to be given. These bans should be used on people who spam spoilers and for people like John Cena.

Still supporting the idea of a list of url's that can never be linked to Bungie.net.

Over time, this list will build it, and it will mean less work for Ninja's/Super Users clearing up spam that poses an actual threat to users computers etc.

Well, they could at least do it for some of the most obvious sites...

Still better than you.

.....most of you, at least.

Secret ban sounds like taking the idea of "You have no rights, play nice" a bit too far.

A lot too far actually.

Centuries ago at the dawn of the age the idea was put forth to have 'secret bans.' A moderator bans a user, but that user can still post, PM, make threads, what have you. In fact, that user is never even told he is banned. He continues as normal except... nobody can see his posts or threads any longer, except moderators. This could be extended to include the page load times. Just... make it take longer. Trick the computer into thinking it's loading when in reality it truly is 'just you.' It's that easy. Just make code.
I vaguely remember this idea.

Also, does anyone else remember that April Fool's joke where Bungie proposed to introduce "Shadow Ninjas"?

Sorry burrito, just being honest.
If progress disgusts you, then you have my sympathy.

Hey, you're white, you should feel ashamed.
No I am not, nor should I be, nor is it relevant. Do not be racially insensitive in addition to close minded to progress.
So it only affects those who get banned? I thought it affected everyone and worsens for bad people...For the greater good.

Yes, we must progress to slower load times!

I'm all for idea number 2. The secret ban could work BUT (i like big buts and i cannot lie) only as a last resort.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

lol, these are not bad ideas.

Also I agree, Waypoint forums are terribad.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

So there's a big fuss over at the 343 forums about the company screwing over a bunch of LE purchasers.
I've heard bits mentioned but i don't actually know what the deal is. Is it still worth me getting the LE? What's actually happened?

  • 10.18.2012 6:08 AM PDT

Dubito ergo cogito, cogito ergo sum ©
Halo 3 Longshore playable on Team Fortress 2 vids

I don't think that would prevent spammer, in fact I think that would discourage user to visit this website.

Specializations? Everybody gets them now. The video? It's not a physical disk. Therefore if you don't get the LE you just have to watch it on youtube instead of waypoint. Terrible, I know. The exclusive armor permutations? Everybody gets those now.
-.-

Basically for the extra $40 you get the mappacks (which are $5 cheaper with the Map Pass), two avatar props, an armor skin, a two page booklet, and a different case... If you get the standard edition and the map pass, you save $15 and pretty much just lose out on having a different case. I canceled mine last night after 343 refused to address the issue in their bulletin. Standard it is.

For the greater good. Disagreeing is futile. You must answer the question in the first post.

Discuss whether you think these ideas should be implemented immediately or wait for Bungie?
Lol I too presented an idea like that, but I believe the term presented was 'Silent Ban'. And the CMS I was developing had this feature in mind... Recon's idea first.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I doubt that would work.
