I seriously don't get this, friggin Spikers, Plasma Pistols and Plasma Rifles are capable of headshotting me in one-shot. How is this even possible?

I tried to tackle the LASO challenge, almost at the end of the mission, and one random plasma shot or spike hits me in the head, and BAM! Dead. Is this a glitch, anyone else experiencing this?

Single player is the easiest way to do it. Just do the old save-quit trick.

Weapons in the hands of AI behave differently than what you're used to in multiplayer. They have bottomless clips, dual wield capabilities, no overheating, can lock-on an overcharge shot from farther away and depending on the difficulty they can kill so fast that it looks like you were brought down with a headshot.

This is what I don't get, why make the Covenant behave like uber-juggernaut mini-Gods, when the ally AI sucks monkey balls? The Elites shields are almost impenetrable. It takes almost 30 shots from the Plasma Pistol to drain even a Ultra Elite's shield. Hell, even Spartan Lasers do jack -blam!-.

It doesn't matter anymore, I've finally done it. It's impossible for the AI to headshot like that, even at full health.

So you don't sit back and let the game do everything for you.

Could have at least made the ally AI a bit smarter. CE had it right.

Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

I believe you just made the call of the wild Sliding Ghost. :]

And Reach AI are bad.

If you want helpful friendlies so desperately, give them DMRs and Snipers.

On Normal, with these weapons, they would stand a chance, but Heroic and Legendary, they'll be ripped to shreds.

That's the point though.

I think this will be the last time I ever depend on friendlies, especially Noble Team.

On the LASO challenges I use the AI to my advantage. Leave the army guys and Noble Team to distract the Covenant and either pick them off from a distance or flank them.

That's what I do and it works 90% of the time.

Because they suck. Why do you think Elites berserk so much?

As for the allies, that was just Bungie -blam!--ing up the campaign.

Hey what's that supposed to mean? You accusing me of making alternate accounts?! :o I would not risk my Legendary reputation just to prove a point. I do that just fine with this account. ;)

Edit: Oh an idiom. Use damn punctuation!

Just wait till you see how bad they are in h4, lol. Pro-tip, if you see 2 banshees, only fight one....the other will end up boosting into a wall for 30 mins. (unless they've changed it a whole lot since pax)

Are you sure it's not that the Banshee sucks? The Banshees on Winter Contingency at the relay easily get stuck or crash into walls because the vehicle is too fast for the pilot to handle.

Then again, Halo has had a history of horrendous pathfinding. I'm not surprised, but I'll keep that in mind just in case.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

This is the best explanation OP.

Noble Team was made to be cliché, useless (and in the case of Jun annoying as hell) so that you could celebrate as each and every one of them was wiped off the face of Reach.

Not like that in Multiplayer they can't. You're just unlucky

  • 10.25.2012 12:51 PM PDT

Because the Covenant don't abide by the same rules you do.

Yep.
The "luck" quotient has turned campaign into multiplayer campaign.
I even get jacked by headshot ridiculousness in Firefight.
Purists would like things to just happen as they happen.
Multiplayery infection has turned the campaign into something else. Is difficult for us oldsters to accept.

on top of that: they have dead-aim accuracy, the acrobatic agility of a chinese olympian, soak up massive damage, and hit like runaway ice cream trucks.

good luck soldier. make us proud.
