Subject: Was ODST anybody's first Halo game?

I was thinking about this question during class today and I thought it would be quite appropriate to ask this here. I doubt I will get much of a response, but it would be interesting to find out that this game was someone's first Halo game.

The first Halo game I played was Halo 2, but the first one I played on my own truly was Halo 3. I know there are plenty of people that joined with Reach, but I am curious if anyone joined at ODST. So...

Anyone?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

CE was my first, but ODST is most definitely my favourite.

The first Halo game I owned was Halo 3. The first game I played was Halo: Combat Evolved.

But ODST is in my top 3 Halo games, make no mistake.

This was not my first Halo game... it was my fourth. From the time Halo 1 was released alongside the original Xbox, I purchased and played all of the Halo games on release date as they were released thereafter.

It's not my favourite, but I definitely did enjoy ODST, though, and every so often I'll pop it in for some Firefight. I prefer it over Reach's Firefight.

From somebody who started in 2001 with Halo 1 and progressed as the games came out, ODST was a nice change-up in the series.

Vote for me for a free cookie.

My friend started with ODST. He now owns Halo 3 as well and still does not know who the Forerunners are. He also doesn't half of the characters, doesn't know what the Halo rings are, what Arbys real name is and a few other things.

He also calls me a nerd for knowing all these things and for reading the books(apparently being obsessive)and he called this masterpiece we call ODST terrible. From then on, I didn't take anyone who didn't start with Halo ce or 2 seriously

I had Reach and ODST at Christmas, but I decided to stick Reach in first...sorry ODST. But IMO both games still owned.

This is why it's foolish to start in the middle of the franchise :)

I mean, if it's just for the multiplayer, go on in... but I couldn't play a game Campaign without playing it in order from the other games, first.

My cousin started with ODST, but soon we got him to play Reach.

Nah, Halo CE was my first. But I didn't really get "obsessed" until Halo 3.

I started with Reach, then downloaded CE and bought the series (including ODST) and played them in the chronological order the events in the Halo Universe occured.

I remember when I got ODST.
The guy in the shop told me not to put it on till night - it was a bright winter's day - but I stuck it straight in soon as I got home. Then I took it back out again, it was so bloody dark on the first level I couldn't see anything.
I started again that night - on Heroic - and was hooked. It was such a change to have to be stealthy and to take damage so easily.
I still go back to it yet, it is far and away my favourite Halo game (if it only had a MM I probably wouldn't play anything else).

You should show your cousin Bnet. Bring him into our family.
