I'm tellin' ya, when the MC finally removes his helmet, the camera pans up to reveal...

Jim Gaffigan.

Also, instead of having RvB guys in there, have the marines reference some lines from the series... Something like:

*MC drives up in a Warthog*

Marine: Hey, man, nice Puma.

Or if one gets stuck with a plasma grenade.

Marine that got stuck: AAH, AAH, AAH! GET IT OFF!

Other marine: Is that a spider?

BOOM.

I think celebrities could be in the game, but only as cameos, like Laura Prepon was in Halo 2.

Captain: Marines, get to that ship, and retrieve the icon!

Marine: AALLLLLRIGHTY THEN!

Jim Carey as Cortana and Robin Williams as master chief...

I think Halo 3 should be just Marty. Yet i think the bands that worked on Halo 2 did a good job because what they did didnt take away from the experience and it wasnt distracting. Do I see them in Halo 3? No, but im down with Steve Vai comming back and working with Marty again. I just think Halo 3 should be a little more serious like Halo 1 was.

This is supposed to be a dark and more disturbing Halo. Keep it simple and fully orchestrated (maybe with the Steve Vai version of the Halo theme, but that's it). Play the bittersweet violin section whenever someone (or you) dies and blare the trumpets and drums loud when the Master Chief and his allies make their last stand in the last, world-shattering war.

No more celebs and well known bands.

Stick with the classical music. I do not want to hear stupid little bands that only 12 years olds find cool and call 'metal'

Just stick with Marty to do any music and voices of people you won't recoignise. Felt like I was in That 70's Show fighting alongside Donna. :\

Ha! That would be hilarious!

I believe David Cross was the best thing that ever happened to Marine voiceovers....

And no Linkin Park or any other teener band. God they suck.

I don't really care who the voices are done by as long as the main characters still have the same voices. The soundtrack should be done completely by Marty the musical genius. If they were going to have a band do an instrumental song for Halo 3 I would prefer Between the Buried and Me or Blind Guardian. I would be one happy man if Bungie hired them to write an instrumental song for Halo 3.

Ugh, no more commercial angst rock bands. Keep it orchestral. Halo 2 got away with 1 rock instrumental. Anything more would have been pushing it far too far. Don't be hellbent on ruining the atmosphere of the game just so you can hear your favourite band in there. You'll probably be able to play custom soundtracks anyway seeing as it's the 360.

I agree with you man, I personally like all the music Halo 2 had even the ones with famous bands, but THIS IS HALO 3, we need to feel all these cool stuff and what better way than ORCHESTRA, BRING BACK THE MONKS!!! (ahhhh aaaahh aaahhh aaaaaa...) <<<Halo Theme

I think that if well known voices and songs were put in halo 3, it would ruin the game

Well they dont have to be that well known, I'm Incubas a fairly sucsessful band put their song "follow" into Halo 2 and ppl didnt make the connection, jesus im not saying put in "back in black" or anything. And Halo 2 was awsome and every knew Dona and uh.... idk the black guy from 'Evolution' (i dont remember his name either)

Sweet! I din't know Incubus did the Halo theme song :o

Incubus didn't do the Halo Theme. They did the song Follow which is played in the level The Arbiter when you fly in the Banshee. The Halo Theme was done by Marty and it featured Steve Vai on the guitar.

-blam!- that... i hated the celeb music in halo 2... just brought more hype...Marty does such an extremely good job and with the music in halo 3... its probably gonna blow away the music in halo 2, if its all martys stuff and not no celebrity b.s. corporate music. Martys music will make the game more epic espcially the stuff we heard already (the trailer made me feel like i was watching a movie cause of the brilliant music...).

  • 06.28.2006 9:36 PM PDT

"I'm hungry..."

Seriously though...

James Earl Jones - The Arbiter

Samuel L Jackson - Sgt. Johnson

Harrison Ford - Lord Hood

Mila Jovovich - Merranda Keys ( i hated all her movies except 5th element but she could work this.)

Bruce Willis - Rugged Marine that will show up frequently

They already HAD some good names for some of those characters.

Ron Perlman did Lord Hood and did a fine job.

If they change Johnson's voice after all these friggin' years, I will be PO'd.

That was actually my least liked song in the whole game.

I hope Incubus doesn't make another song for Halo, that threw off the mood when that started playing. Ugh.
