Subject: This Mail Sack works for you.

Our Friday conversation is alive. Open the Sack.

So many of you asked questions about making games this week, the theme was very apparent. Almost all of our answers pointed to the need to make games. That is your challenge for this week.

Make a game.

Share it here.

Play each other's games. Notable entries will be selected. There will be a poll. I will spend the weekend trying to decide how to let the community choose their own champion without inviting controversy to dine with us.

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

What Hylebos said.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

cool, is that the Myrcridia statue?

Awesome challenge. I cannot wait to play everyone's games.

OMG, Steve Downes in the Mail Sack. Awesome.

You have no idea how revolting I can be.

DeeJ's Challenge

Interesting challenge to say the least. Employees are excluded from winning, right?

"We'll let our hair down a little more next week..."
Well, I know my question for next week.

GGGGGGggggggggggggGGGG

Oooh think I might try this one.

  • 10.19.2012 4:56 PM PDT

-blam!- me, I have a -blam!-load of schoolwork to do this weekend. I don't think completing that challenge is the best idea.

Is that for the Appathon contest?

I rather enjoyed this mail sack. However, I do not have the mental patience to create a game that requires me to level up to use all the tools. Oh, well. Excited to see what the others of the community will conjure up.

Key

Oh.... that's nice... I like that a lot...

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

The Button

Woman, you're late. AGAIN! Do you have any idea how late you are? You're exactly 2 hours and 1 minute late. If you're late again I'll be forced to punish you.

Sheesh, some people.

And no DeeJ, you can't drive the getaway car. SINCE YOU WOULD BE LATE!

Isn't caps lock fun?

Nah. I need to learn how to do basic Java stuff before hopefully moving on to a good undergrad course which will require some knowledge of it.

Hoping to get myself to a point where I can pretty much do a fairly simple Java application independently.

Spawn, enough with the frigging blue flames!

  • 10.19.2012 5:08 PM PDT

Man, I can do the computational/code breaking stuff, but not make a game... I've never done any GUI programming, and using a Flash environment doesn't sound like too much fun...

I actually started working with Eclipse today. So used to working with Visual Basic and having everything right in front of me. Gonna take a little learning for me to get used to this new environment. Interesting to see another member have the same interests as me.

HFCS verb \hiff-cix\
1 a: The act of using the Unleash Ninjas button, and performing a moderation act.

Is making a demo fine? I'd rather not create an account I'd barely use.

EDIT: I just made an account. I'm going for a full game.
