Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.
The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

IMO if there's going to be Halo games following the Reclaimer Trilogy it should be either an RPG or a follow-up to Halo Wars.
Otherwise I think Halo should stop after Halo 6, I think it's be a perfect way to close the series once and for all on a high-note because really any threat after the Precursors would simply be dull in comparison.I see where you are going, it would perhaps appear as dull, and it would probably be very hard to market, but as an example, I'll just say that I'd imagine that I'd be just as afraid of a tiger if was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, as I'd be before an alien being, if I wore full combat armour and wielded a gun. That's also one of the reasons I compared what I wished they would do, to KotOR. Even though it ended with a lot of high stakes, it was just as thrilling to play the parts where it was just oneself and a couple of other guys; none of which at that time where anywhere near the top of the food chain in the Star Wars universe.
I believe Halo could do that seeing as I--any many I've spoken to--enjoy solely exporing the various levels, as I enjoy the action. It's how the game feels just being there (Forerunner architecture, etc), and how it moves; in other words.
Setting it during the prime of the Ecumene would allow for that blank slate, but it would have to be a smaller project. And yes, it would be rpgish. All this would be if there were to be more games after 6.
EDIT: see it as a mix between Journey and KotOR in the Haloverse.
