I threw together a map in a few hours last night (on Reach) that I think has a lot of potential.
It's a symmetrical, 12 player (4 teams of 3) map with an indestructible warthog as the "static" hill - Aptly named King of the Hawg (King of the Hog was already taken - I tried it, it's not very good). It's an incredibly cramped map that makes good use of verticality. I hope the gameplay is frantic, but it should be balanced too, what with the symmetry - Although, I might add, I do not think the map would apply itself very well to other gametypes.
So... I'm going to need 11 play testers, ASAP. I know it's a lot to ask, and I can't promise that the map will be fun, or balanced, or will even work - I'm not a massively experienced forger. I have complete faith that the gametype has potential, but I'm not sure if my map will allow it to be realised.
What I really need is feedback. Should I remove ramp X? Include a ramp at location Y? I'm even considering changing it to 6 teams of 2 with a central mongoose, to improve maneuverability.
Also, if I get support for this, please bear in mind that the map was not designed with aesthetics as a priority. It's not hideous, but it's not going to win any forge art contests, either.
I'm free pretty much any time this week.
