If you saw the flood juggernaught video you would have seen that they are huge.

It is unlikely that it is a covenent mutation as it is too tall.
Also the corriders on covenent ships are very small.
In Halo1 the corriders in any forerunner structures such as assualt on the control room were actually very big.
Therefore I believe that the forerunners were infected by the flood and the jugernaughts are the infected form of the forerunners.
The juggernaught is unlike anything previously seen in Halo games. The flood tends to retain charecteristics of its host. This is seen clearly in Halo1 and Halo2 when you can tell the difference between two types of flood, and what the host is.

...And so the hero crawled through the fissure on the surface of Tyr. There, the lone Dwarf stared into the cold, dark eyes of Soulblighter...The fiend hefted his blade over his shoulder as a flock of raven took upon his form...

He is right, the combat form flood can't survive for even a year. They start to decay and rot until they become Carriers and explode in old age or by enemies. Even a Forerunner-Flood Juggernaut couldn't escape this cycle.

They couldn't have survived for hundreds of thousands of years.

Don't base your ideas on how it acts, or how strong it is. It didn't make it into the game, so the AI and everything else was not finished (most likely... or I hope not)

I think that thatflood might have been from a Driniol (i forgot how to spell it)

Or maybe it just didn't make it in the game because maybe someone made it so it could be the Hunter's flood, but then they realized, wait the Hunter is made of tiny organisms put together?

He's right, they have been "dead" for thousands of years. How do you get around that?

That may be why bungie took it out of the game.

and the corridor point is true, the forruners must of been huge, and these are thew hugest things i could find in the game, thats how i got the idea

i thought that the juggernaut was origninally going to be a brute flood form, which is why in the video it says "its beserking" or something like that. but i dont know why it couldnt be a hunter, just because a hunter is made up of lots of seperate creature. I think there was loads of flood in guilty spark because as the record by the marine shows the infection form attacks them first, like it does to MC, as the first thing which happens is all the infection forms come through the door. all though this doesnt explain why there was quite so many elite and human forms in the structure already

while the corridors are big, many of the doors are human-size, and small

Maybe there were different species of forerunner, some larger types patrolling corridors and other higher ranking forerunners that were smaller and could go where they please.
