This week, Joseph Ainsworth is breaking in.

First get. I'm gonna read.

  • 10.22.2012 4:43 PM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You know what they say....first is worst, second is the best.

Every job at bungie sounds cool.. heck I bet even the janitor enjoys his day.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I wish bungie had need of a horse back rider.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

What is this sorcery? The Breaking In articles page just loaded at a speed one might actually consider acceptable. What perverse dark ritual did the Webmaster perform in order to give me such a brisk page-loading experience for a page which normally throws me into a blinding rage due to its computer-paralyzing load time?

I'll have to read it another time.

I think that you're thinking of the loading-related problem most noticeable on the Bungie Blog page.

I'm glad Joe was able to spread the joyous message that is WPF XAML.

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle- victorious"

I love the Breaking In articles, they are always interesting.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Cool article. With awesome people working at Bungie, there's no chance of a robot apocalypse.

I wish bungie had need of a horse back rider.

That would be epic

And very interesting interview, it was the first I'd read of Breaking in, but I'm reading through the rest now!

Fight your way out; only scrubs and mashers jump out of the corner

Curious if Bungie uses a home rolled automation engine or if they use an existing one...
