The Chief is a cyborg like RoboCop but on crack.

It would be nice if you could store a spare pistol in the Chief's thigh.

thats what i think happens ....when you switch weapons it comes out of his thigh

Funny to think that even with all those enhancements, he is just about par with the Elites.

Damn I wish I had metal grafted to my bones, super dense musculature, uber enhanced eyesight and coordination, and a shiny green suit named after Thor's hammer! I'd be the rage at all the draftboards!

Yeah, the chief's a cyborg, but he doesn't have robotic arms and stuff like that, just an implant in the back of his head. Most of the stuff done to him was with steroids and other medical stuff.

listen to the man.

YES...the MJLONIR battle skin is also an actual extention of his body. "Machine and Flesh" as Gravemind put it.

Ahem. His quote is:
Gravemind: This one is machine and nerve and has its mind concluded; this one is but flesh and faith and is the more deluded...

I had a feeling I quoted it wrong...but it's the thought. Machine and nerve would actually support the cyborg thought even more however. Cyborgs control their mechanical parts through their nerve endings. If the body inside the MJOLNIR armor of MC is 100% human, the armor itself would make him a cyborg being a part of his body.

Edited spelling

Serously, I know. I always felt disappointed about that.

There are is one thing that some one may have missed (I didnt' read all the replies), his suit functions through his Neural Lace. Thus the suit itself is controled via his mind so he is a cybord because the suit is tecnically a part of his body.

If your shin gaurds are mechanical and can influence your body functions or enhance them in anyway...yes.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

And here are all the medicines he, and the rest of the Spartans had in them.

1. Carbide ceramic ossification: advanced material grafting onto skeletal structures to make bones virtually unbreakable. Recommended coverage not to exceed 3 percent of bone mass because of significant white blood cell necrosis. Significant risk for pre- and near-postpubesent adolesence:skeletal growth spurts may cause irriparable bone pulverization. See attached case studies.
2. Muscular enhancement injections: protien complex is injected intramuscularly to increase tissue density and decrease lactase recovery time. Risk: 5 percent of test sub jects experience a fatal cardiac volume increase.
3. Catalytic thyroid implant: platinum pellet containing human growth hormone catalyst is implanted in the thyroid to boost growth of skeletal and muscle tissues. Risk: rare instances of elephantiasis. Supressed -blam!- drive.
4.Occipital capillary reversal: submergence and boosted blood vessel flow beneath the rods and cones of crease. Riosk: retinal rejection and detachment. Perminant blindness. See attached autopsy reports.
5. Suberconducting fibrification of neural dendrites: alteration of bioelectrical nerve transductuion to shielded electronic transduction. Three hundred percent increase in subject reflexes. Anecodotal evidence of marked increase in intelligence, memory, and creativity. Risk: significant instances of Parkinson's disease and Fletchers's syndrome.

WHAT! he isnt a cyborg, the armor makes him look like a cyborg, hes only strong becase they made him strong with alot of fancy medicines i cant prenounce or remember....

It's not just a suit, his helmet has components which are neurally implanted. That's why he can host Cortana. His Armor is partially intergrated with his body, therefore he's technically a cyborg. He isn't exactly half human and half robot, but Mjolnir isn't just a suit, he needs a team of engineers to get it on and off.

Didn't the Grunts in Halo1 say, "Bad cyborg!"? I don't tihnk he's a cyborg though...just an enhanced human.

The armour also helps him hone in one his abilities and gives him more advanced ones.
