Subject: One improvement I would like to see...Friends List.

Well, we can already see what our Friends on Xbox Live are doing, adding a feature to chat with those friends seems reasonable. I don't think there should be seperate friend lists though, that would be a headache.

I think a Bnet Friends List has some good potential, actually. Although, I must say I hardly ever use PMs or anything, so maybe nobody would be my friend. I don't know.

Halo waypoint has a 'buddy' system and I don't see the use for it. If you become good friends with someone on here, add them on Facebook.
Translation: If you want to be friends with someone within the Seventh Column, don't bother coming to the official site, go somewhere else.
I didn't know that friendship was contingent on being documented in some website's database.

How about if you want to be friends with someone, talk to them? You can do that here, now, sans IM or a FL.

I know who my friends on this site are, I converse with them regularly on various forums here. That's how I know they're friends. Not because they show up on some list either here or Facebook or elsewhere.

I like it the way it is, a forum, if you wanna chat or something just pm yourself your own contacts and problem solved.
This community/site is not a forum. It merely includes them.

And that's your opinion.

In my an opinion an on site IM system would kill the forums.
There's another forum site on the web which includes multiple chat sessions. The forum is clearly still the most popular part of the site, and the site itself is in the top 100 sites with the most traffic on the web.

Not everyone would use a chat system anyway.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I also agree... On the last site I admined one of the updates was a IM system. That killed the activity on the forums, and everyone just used that instead.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Wat? I've been on multiple forums that use "friends lists" and I've never seen a point for them on there. The people I've seen actually use them just add a bunch of people they know and do nothing with the information. What would make it different on here? Some gimmick?

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Waypoint has a buddy list. Something like that would be nice here.

As an Xbox user, I cannot add any of my friends who own PS3s, share content with them, etc... With Bungie's next game being released on multiple platforms, it would definitely be useful if I could do that by using Bungie.net profiles as "hubs".

See, stuff like this makes more sense than "Well it's not hurting anything so, y'know, why not?! You're just against change. LOL stop being like 'I don't like things that are different.' That's what you're doing. That's the only reason you disagree with me.", etc.

I could get behind something like this (for this purpose).

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

That could be cool, maybe some changes but the idea is good.

Like sending game files from bungie.net to their PS3 or to their profile? If it actually has purpose other than, "Here's a list of people I consider friends" I could live with it. I'm not against the idea, I'm just saying it's stupid if it's not actually connecting users.
