Subject: New Gun Idea

“We are the Mirratord. We strike with speed and stealth. Our enemies will not see their deaths. They will not know their fate. In darkness, we will see light. In light, we will see darkness. No matter the location, we will see victory. If we fail, no one will know. Like a ghost, our presence is a mystery. For the honor of the Mirratord" Join the Mirratord here

for a while i thought it would be cool if in halo there was a revolver-type pistol that you could choose what round goes into it, such as shredder, HE, and AP and each type of bullet has different properties, like HE would be better at taking shields down, AP would give it a better range, and shredder would increase unshielded damage and be better against a ghost or possibly ATV by actually destroying the vehicle

Those of you looking to design your own rifles should check out the Heckler and Koch G-11 assault rifle.

This gun outperformed every weapon I've ever heard of but was passed over by the United States Military based on the cost of ammunition. It cost almost several times as much to produce each bullet and given the number of rounds expended by the military each year... the cost became prohibitive.

I personally don't like the Heckler and Koch G-11, they just aren't a good design, but don't get me wrong they are a very good weapon just I personally don't like them.

I think that caseless ammunition is a field that needs perfecting. I also think that the G-11 rate of fire is too high to be managable or practicle.

Thanks. This doesn't apply to the people that have already posted feedback, I need to know what you think, because I need to improve. Thanks.

i like the idea but i think the gun should be fullauto and when zoom in it should turn into a burst. with same size clip.

The problem with full auto is that you would have to balance it out to much...like as in bullets. I am doing some research on guns, bullets all that type of stuff so that this gun can act realisticly.

Tex those are very good ideas, but I focus more on Human type weapons, but some of those are very good ideas. Especially the Glasser.

Thanks, apparently no one else does cause they didnt comment on them. I really like the glasser myself, the others or just random stuff off the top of my head. I thought of the glasser because Halo has no rail gun, and it would be sort a of a halo esque touch to a very cool gun. Plus, I like thinking of using it to glass a Brute and then punch him and watch him break apart. Or glassing a wall near a door to break through and surprise the enemy. That would be cool in multiplayer.

Maybe you should finish the article then. There were problems with cook-offs in the first round of testing but subsequent manufactured rounds met standards. The technology is there. The United States government just thought it was too costly to give one of these babies to each infantryman.

The rate of fire was manageable due to it's incredibly low recoil. (Caseless ammunition does not require an ejected casing so the recoil is entirely in one vector) So low and so rapid fire in fact, they had to reduce the rate of fire manually because you could empty the clip before you realized it.

Lastly, when set to three round bursts, the third bullet left the rifle before any recoil set in. Those firing the weapon had near perfect groupings.

Wow, how creative, <rolls eyes>. Looks so similiar to the Battle Rifle, and all that specs on it are just stupid.

I have been drawing some guns that I think that would be cool in H3. My gun that I have come up with is called the AF66. Here is a link to the drawing

AF6 6

Oh and bare with me because this was done with MS Paint so it doesn't look as good as what I have done on paper. Also here are the specs:
* 5x Scope
* Shoots like the old BR, 1 shot when scoped and 3 shots when in normal vision. Your suit would know when to switch the gun to one shot and then back to burst
* It would be about 25% more powerful then the BR but with only a 27 ammo capacity
* It would be very accurate over long range
* With a short stock it would be good for close quarter battles
* It's rounds could be FMJ(full metal jacket) or AP

Thats about it. I will be open for CONSTRUCTIVE Critisism, and Feedback.

I like you're idea but I think 25% more powerful than the BR is way to overpowered, why not just have it 12% more powerful than the BR and it would be a awesome weapon. There is one thing that I don't like about you're design and that is the design looks like a gun from the ghost recon games and it also looks to much like the BR. Why not design it anew and give us a link so we can tell you what we think about it, i'll say it in simplistic form: give it a totally new design and a friggin big torch.

Clever I will be redoing my AF66, I have taken all the information from the users and am putting it into the gun. Some stuff will make the cut, some won't.

Ok, The walther g22 looks kinda similar to my AF66, its like rock and water. Haha. Ok the Walther is more like the FAMAS or the AUG. If it does I am so very sorry for drawing somthing that resembles a bad weapon. BTW I am just finishing up on my new version of the AF66.
