Subject: Forerunners could use the force?

New trailer clearly shows the Didact uses the 'force' or telekinesis powers on chief. Thoughts on this? This isn't something I saw happening in the series.

There is a thin line between insanity and genius, i would put myself right in the middle and i enjoy every second of it.

You didn't see this coming? Compared to all the things we've seen with the forerunners technology, it's not that big of a surprise to me.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Eh, when does he use the force? I just see him using some form of anti-gravity container to keep Chief immobile and using some sort of ray to scan Chief's brain.

It's probably some kind of tractor beam or anti-grav technology. Tartarus could do the same thing in Halo 2 with his Gravity Hammer.

in the live action trailer it looked like didact had chief in a status field but in this trailer it looked like didact used the force for the lack of a better term, on chief.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

The force is strong with this one.

Isn't a sort of stasis or something like that? I reckon that the didact himself is not holding the chief up...

Maybe nanobots, anyone's guess at this point.

But the forerunners and Covenant had the anti-gravity stuff done for awhile now so it isn't to far fetched to be honest. Hell time travels been done as well, along with teleportation [Ref to First Strike and Halo:CE]. It's about as Sci-fi as it gets.

I am seriously laughing out loud right now! WHERE'S MY SHOTGUN? haha Freaking comic gold.

My current theory is that perhaps the chief has a forerunner Geas placed upon him that the didact is maybe able to manipulate, I know that doesn't explain the didacts near telekinetic ability to move the chief, but we know the Forerunners had anti grav technology perhaps its a variant of that

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

It fits within the lore, but it just seems out of place. I know Star Wars lore has projectile weapons, yet if I saw someone use an assault rifle I'd feel weird despite the lore supporting it. Same thing here.

Wait, wait, who's not to say that's just a regular Promethean in the trailer?

It is currently assumed it is the didact.

Are you guys sure it is some sort of telekinesis, because i think that he is only reading Chiefs mind ,the Chief is held in stasis field, like DR.Anders at halo wars.

Anti-Gravity.

Progo, Shrew, Chryso, all are the same.

Covies had it too, didn't they? If we are talking suspending things in the air, that is.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

Choppers, Sentinels, Constructors, Ghosts, Enforcers, man cannons, Monitors, various structures...

Yeah, this isn't anything new.

We're talking about Didact lifting John of the ground with "telekenesis" in yesterday's gameplay trailer. It may be anti-grav tech, but it still looks as if Didact is using the Force.

I wonder how versatile these "powers" are in combat...

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

We've already seen telepathy, teleportation, anti-gravity, and time travel. Why are people so shocked?
