Let this thread die.
For years the mantra of the upper echelon of Bnet society has been "04' or bust". The quick phrase allowed for the grizzled among us to remind the newbies, myself included, who was boss. With "Destiny" just around the corner I believe it's time we set the new elitist standard for Bnet.
By what means can we differentiate ourselves from the infants that will surely be crawling their way over here?
I propose we stray away from join dates and adopt a more visual form of condescension. That being the use of Halo emblems as avatars. I will admit that with there being 4 titles to choose from, there will be a divide among the elite. This, however, is a necessary provision in order to sustain the current social construct.
So what exactly does the use of a Halo emblem mean to a Destiny era Bnet user?
The following is the result of a 77 year research effort including, sleep studies, polls, Hubble Telescope time, $100,000 grant from the Uganda scientific society, more polls and $100,000 of deodorant. This is an abbreviated description of how Destiny era members will perceive the new elite and is by no means limited to the following.
**
The new social order: Halo emblems
Halo: Reach - You have played the Halo franchise, but anyone with a pair of sneakers can show that.
Halo: ODST - You pride yourself on a Co-op/Campaign experience so you must be a BK. -blam!- yeah multiplayer!
Halo 3 - Most likely has a PhD in Computer Science.
Halo 2 - You must be some kind of superhero! It's completely within the realm of possibility that after quoting my post you threw yourself out of a window for justice.
**I hope by now you realize this is a joke.
