It is funny how this forum is so used to trolls that it is lacking it activeness.
Still waiting for a normal answer.
Its not just this forum, its the entire site. Why would bungie host a site devoted to someone elses games?!?
If it was a constructive positive site you can be sure bungie would have pulled it years ago ... but something that serves as a boiling pot of hate, against someone elses brand, studio & games (someone with who you may have to compete one day) ... now thats an effective marketing tool.
But back OT.
TryHard - to break it down, someone who gives the appearance of trying hard to be good at something but failing ... all very subjective as the evaluation is only done from the other persons [often self-disappointed] perspective. Most people understand it as a statement of jealousy called out by game obsessed, generally to re-enforce their own self worth.
Closely related to 'reachtard'.
Which equates to someone who plays reach to earn credits and rank (reach credit&rank =/= skill). These people then use reach styled avatars against their xbl gamertag, making them easy targets in other games because of this reach enforced belief that becoming top rank just means playing enough games, and that this ranks equates to great skill.
(generally the same group of people crying 'tryhard' to players of other games shortly before returning to the simplicity of reach)
