Some people take the game far too seriously, and reach appears to bring that out quicker than any other game. I put it down to the number of non-gameplay rules - no quitting, no accidental killing, self interest rather than team play, etc.
The more a game tries to artificially 'protect' a player (and fail) the more frustrated a player gets with that game.
