My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.
My Stats

Yeah yeah lots-o-stuff was revealed this past week at E3. But has anyone thought about the gameplay stuff that we haven't seen?

Personally i hope we still get an infra-red option (the Chief's got it in the books for crying out loud). I'd like to gaze over an african landscape and pick out the dark red of elites and the cool blue of the Grut's methane packs.

And if flying vehicles are to be available in MP then I LOVE the Jackhammer tracking feature.

Whatchathink?

Yeah, those ideas are cool. But the thing is, we would run out of buttons to control the infared! I mean, sure, they could make it so you push some buttons simultaneously, but that would be too much work.

And yes, the flying vehicles will most likely make the tracking feature a blast. Hah hah, a pun!

I wouldn't let button assignment ruin the addition of infra red vision. It could be "Hold Black button for IR", "Press Black button for flashlight". There, solved that one.

I'm not talking about making the Chief into Sam Fisher, but the IR option in the visor and the night-vision on the SniperRiffle would be cool.

Just think, if the environment totally played havoc with the IR vision. Such as; plasma explosions would be like flash bangs (temp blinding), the cold blue of the Grunt packs would blend in on the snow levels (or any scenario where it was really cold like on a moon).

Nothing should be able to blind you in a game. I stopped playing Counter-Strike from all the Flashbang use. Personally I hope they do not have IR in the game. I can see good enough with my light already, and people would have IR on all the time, it would basically make regular vision like your secondary vision.

hmmm... i agree that there might be some complications with it but i think it might balance it self out. I'm thinking like: While using IR you can see invisble opponents but cannot see other objects (like weapons lying on the ground) or cannot see very far with it (like only 20 yards or so).

I dunno i just got the idea from Fall of Reach when the cheif notices the freezing methane packs the Grunts wear.

Anyways, what other ideas can be thought of with the presence and absence of our new Halo 2 info???
