Owning Noobs Since 05

Posted by: VerachiI may have sounded a little more serious than originally intended but it's not a joke. And I'm aware of how to report a mod. I personally don't see any need to. Foman is an excellent mod and was obviously selected for a reason. Besides, sending a message is so inconvenient.

I only responded to that because there really isn't a reason for mods to have a report button but anyways I'd much rather have fun mods then uptight -blam!-s.

I'm tired of all the fun around here!

Foman needs to go!

OT: This thread is as silly as internet popularity.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

Many potential fights were stopped by me uttering those words.

To not care what others think of you is ignorant. It's almost as ignorant as it is to place an exaggerated importance on being popular.
I don't care what you guys think of me. But hey, I'm popular on Bungie.net! So come at me bro.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I like to watch Foman with a very critical eye. We used to play Halo 3 together quite often and then he became a mod and apparently I wasn't good enough to play with anymore, not good enough to reply to messages, and ultimately not good enough to stay on his friends list.

It hurt me.

OT: He made me feel... unpopular.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

Wait...people strive for popularity on Bnet? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.....

On a more serious note, stay away from the people who want to be popular. They are the first to throw someone under the bus.

Matt - Like a G Pix, like a, like a G Pix....

I try to help those in need in my own way, or, I did in the past. Now days I hardly ever get the chance to get on here. But listen everyone, popularity isn't all fun in games. Help those in need to benefit others, not to benefit yourself. I believe that is why people think that they must become popular, to benefit themselves, but we should not be benefiting ourselves. I'd rather not make myself popular, otherwise I may crave popularity more and more, and become self-centered.

But this is only my opinion, thank you for the thread, friend.

What a person does with public criticism varies. It is narrow-minded to truly ignore even the most astute and well-intentioned criticism, as it is shallow to seriously consider every trivial remark from people who don't understand your situation. Finding a balance between the two does not have to do with trying to be popular.

More on the topic, if people try to climb the dog-pile of popularity, that's their agenda. I don't know where I am on the pyramid, but I'm more interested in meeting people than being "heard of" by them.

  • 10.25.2012 12:11 AM PDT

Most people who think they are cool are normally stuck up pricks.. IMHO of course.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

LOVE ME PUBLIC LOVE ME

What's popularity? That term died when I started my first year of college.

I can vouch for this. Phenomenon did something for his recognition though. One of the best Halo 3 screen shot photographers along with Predator.

  • 10.25.2012 5:18 AM PDT

Popularity ends when college begins. On public forums, popularity is completely and wholly worthless for the most part. If your popularity is due to your helpfulness to the community, that is one of the few non-vain popularities. Of course, there's screenshot-taking, map-making, trolling, being a jerk, and much more (the last two aren't a good thing, but can make you popular).

Is striving for popularity annoying? You bet. Is it anything we can stop? Doubtful.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

The only people who give a -blam!- about popularity are marketers and people who haven't mentally advanced past adolescence.
