Subject: Can I report someone for a pm sent?

I just had a user send me to a shock site. I was wondering how can I report someone for doing this to me?.

You don't need to.

But, hate to be a kill joy, but my understanding was that the mods, Achronos included, wont do anything about those kinds of PMs. The common response if I recall correctly was "block and move on".

Never hurts to try. PM Duardo.

Messages aren't the domain of Forum Ninjas or Master Forum Ninjas; they can't even see your inbox, and any images could be faked. But the ninjas (and you) can report the issue to a Bungie.net administrator, who can read your messages, and do something about it. Although, I can't remember to what point administrator action is necessary.

To my best understanding, the only time that a moderator will step in/ take it to Achronos is if it is a mass problem that can't be solved by one person blocking it.
i.e. someone spamming shock sites to a bunch of people, where a single person blocking the offender doesn't stop that person from sending it to a bunch of others.

Break down, every single one of you.

There is no report button, but you can PM a ninja and tell them what happened. That is what they are there for and I am sure they are more than happy to help.

Bobcast apparently banned people for sending PM's of the leaked Halo 4 ending. Ya never know.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

My Screenshots / My Group / Remember to follow the rules or you will get trapped in a box.

Take a screenshot of the page and then PM a mod. Explain what happened and provide the image.

Correct.

I have no ability or authority over what someone sends or receives via the PM system. Members have the ability to block other members from PM'ing to them, effectively a personal PM blacklist/ban.

If the content of a PM is law-breaking, then the member can report it to the webteam for their followup. In that instance, my recommendation would be to block the offending member, do not delete the PM (in order to keep it in your inbox (so that the webteam can view it in your inbox), and report/request that the webteam (I am going out on a limb here and thinking DeeJ is the appropriate initial point of contact, if anyone is aware of a better contact, I defer to them) investigate and followup on the matter.

And when I say "law breaking" I am talking serious stuff (not hurt feelings). Real and serious threats of safety, violence, etc. and the usual sort of law breaking that would be a violation of the membership agreement. CP, theft, fraud, identity theft, IP attacks, etc.
