I think your quotes are a little of, which may change their effectiveness. The book Fall of Reach explains Johns start, which makes it harder to believe we are clones. It would be nearly impossible to clone Master Chief in the past, and then have him actually turn out to be Master Chief again.

343 didn't say that to mc, but to humans in general. everyone knows that 343 called him reclaimer, and so humans must look like/ act like/ are like/ forerunner. He was saying that forerunners have activated the halos before, which we already know.

Also, you said that they cloned themselves. They didn't. Period. If they did, they would be alive, and they aren't. Humans aren't forerunner. It's just a coincedence that forerunner and humans are alike.

Oh, and MC was already cloned. They cloned him when they made him a Spartan. Otherwise the parents would sue, they would be upset, and the military wouldn't have enough money to compensate for all theses taken children. just a pointer.

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Ok...that would work, but let me try another explanation.

343 believes that Master Chief is a forerunner who has been sent to activate Halo. How do we know this?

I'm suprised you've brought such ineffective weapons to combat the flood, despite the containment protocols!343 obviously expects you to know what "contianment protocols" are. And who would know these protocol's other than the forerunners.

Last time you asked me, 'if it were my choice, would I do it?' Having had considerable time to ponder your quary, my answer has not changed. We must activate the ring.Obviously, Halo has been activated once before. And if one Halo is activated, I believe 343 says the others will also...

But once the others follow suit, this galaxy will be quite devoid of life.
So, if the Halo's were activated "last time", it must have wiped out all sentient life in the galaxy. And how long does it take for sentient life to evolve from single celled organisms? A lot. Think millions of years. I doubt any clones of Master Chief were around millions of years before Halo began...and isn't the ark supposed to be the place to activate the Halo's, not escape it?

So what does this mean? It means that humans, or at least the Master Chief, either are or bear a striking resemblance to the forerunners/reclaimers, and that the humans are the only ones with the authority to activate Halo. This is evident because Tartarus, in the second to last cutscene, is seen forcing Miranda to use the index. Why didn't he use it himself? Wouldn't it be much more honorable to start the Great Journey yourself, and not with a human? Perhaps we will never know...

..but perphaps in Halo 3 we will know.

Darkness Howls, you own. This is very thought out thinking.
