i'm sorry if this has been brought up already, but where did this thing come from??

did it originate from a mod? or maybe just a screenshot on the site? are these enemies only on legendary or something?

come on, i'm sure some of you know where/when it was first seen

neither. they where created by bungie but due to time problems they never made it fully into the game. the models and parts of its AI are still embedded in the games code thou

Yea your right. They never finished it completely... basically only death animations were left. They were basically massive flood that could kill in one hit and behaved a lot like Hunters. They got angry when you killed their partner and charged and swung. They wouldve been cool but... Also I really dont know why they were cut... death animations can be done very quickly, in fact if they didnt want an animation technically they couldve gone straight to ragdoll and be done with it. They were meant to be like a boss type character that the arbiter faces at some time. They are about as hard as taking hunters down but without having any orange skin to shoot.... just shooting their armour.

But where could the juggernaut flood come from? A flood needs to infect another lifeform, they can't just spawn like that. The only creature that size we know so far is the Hunter, could this be an infected Hunter without its armor?

(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Hunters cannot be infected. The flood need a rich structure on which to support the skeleton for the flood form that it will turn that body into.

I believe its multiple creatures put together. Look at it and you can see it has double of a lot of stuff. It might just be a cumulation of flood together to form one badass flood. If you look at the feet it looks like its to feet put together.

Another and sadly credible theory is that it is a Grunt thats head falls off (flood dont need the head, only reason it stays on with humans and elites is because it is so big) and its enlarged greatly by the flood. It has the matching large upper body, skiny legs (with short quads and long calves), and its tentacles at the end are claws (which are only two but one of the grunts claws could fuse together at the end). ALso they have the same feet.

One good theory I read not so far back was that it could be an infected engineer, another creature left out (I believe it was from the Halo 1 disc in the same manner as the juggernaut on the Halo 2 disc).

I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.

We know all about the Juggernuat at the Lair of the Flood.

That sounds so awesome I certainly hope that they have them in Halo3 which they most likely will because they didn't have time to put them in Halo2. It's as good as two kinds of Hunters and the hunters are the funnest to kill plus I heard that the Juggernaut are like 20 feet tall is that true? Anyway i've wondered how a flood manages to get that big and why they have armor, like were did they get it from in the first place if they are taller than a hunter!
Please give me some answers.

I know they're huge. If you haven't seen one, here's some footage.

The only way you can find them in the game was to mod. I don't know how he did it but this guy claims he found it without modding. But it's a nice vid. Nice music too.

Space for Rent

Didn't HBO state back in 2004 that it was a cross between a drone and a brute?
