no, it would be like survival, and for every place you die at, there would have to be a new cut scene, sooo... no

So for legendary Bungie would have to make a whole new game? Seeing as I think it's impossible for someone not to die in legendary.

I would rather have better gameplay/graphics/AI/etc instead of wasting time on alternate cut-scenes.

My idea proposes that there is not a single outcome of the game and dieing should have more of an effect than respawning at your last checkpoint

I'm lost here

so if you die, you don't respawn at the last checkpoint and it's game over and a cutscene is shown what happens in te universe, or do you respawn at your last checkpoint but the ending is different, so the more you die other endings will happen?

ok buddy the game would have to be a blu-dvd to do that otherwise you would have to have 8 discs because you would have to have a code for every death. Also some games have done that before you have died the world blows up and failed comes on the screen done before and it drives me nuts. play advent riseing if you want to make chocies or play fable don't play a first person shotter for an rpg play an rpg. first person shooters is a story that you play as. its not a let see if i shot that guy then the world blows up but if i shot his buddy first i'm fine nope sorry.

not quite but it's hard to know what you mean, you instance you say that dying should have more effect on the ending, the other you say something completely different, please be kind and explain what you want to say, I'm not angry or anything, but it's a little hard to get a grip

you play the character you should be able to choose what you do - either in limed situations of or all the time. Bungie could just create a formula for a cutscene and not create each one. just have presets for the character and camera. 3 paths. the camera in cutscene follows you you at a preset angle.

And maybe we could name our character and maybe it wouldn't be master cheif!! hey newbie its not an rpg its the story of mastercheif. i Hated those goosebump book where you chose your own path because you never knew what the true story is. This isn't a story about some character that you make up and role play as your playing a book. do you think the atouhor of a book should let you chose no because this is there world not yours.

Halo is meant to be linear while maintaining a facade of being a game where you make all the important decisions. There is only one ending to Halo.

Think about what im saying - any potential?

no. the game would end up totaly different than any other game in the series. bungie would never do this.

If you wanna see an airplane cemetery, why don't you just find an old airplane and look at where it goes?

If they have very small effects on later parts of the game like if they determine what weapons you start out with in a new level, then it might be okay, but players shouldn't have to play the game perfectly just to get to the ending that they wanted.
