I have half a mind to kill you....and the other half agrees.

If any of you have read the Halo books by Eric Nylund, you begin to fully grasp what the Spartans are capable of. So I ask Bungie this. Why not add in factors of the Spartans movements. In the books, The Spartans could run at bursts of 55 kph, which is roughly 35 mph. Why not include some of that speed into the game.

And as for their maneuverability, include something of a function like in F.E.A.R. where a player could peek around the walls to get a peak at what their enemy is up to, without exposing half of their body. Or perhaps include the ability to actually maneuver such as pumping at a wall and repelling off of it, a la ninja style. The Spartans are capable of many things and are very strong, but Bungie doesn't do them justice with MC's limited mobility in Halo 2. While he does have something of an adrenaline function (unconfirmed if this is actually in the game), the Spartans should be able to do more than just simply run, jump, and shoot. You can find that much on just about any FPS.

They don't add all that because basically halo won't be halo anymore.

Yeah, Halo is too run and gun for some of that. The sprint was supposed to be in H2 though. That would be cool.

when did you ever use the peak-around-corner move in FEAR, I didn't and it won't be in halo 3

Movement speed should be faster, that's about all I agree with. Lean/peak etc are just gimmicks and should not be implemented into a tried-and-tested multiplayer formula at this late stage in the franchise.

That would be sooooo awesome to have some of them ability's in the game. Obviously you're a real Halo fan because you have read the books so why not explain in detail to us who have not read the books what other ability's MC has in the books so we can say if they should be in Halo3. Please take my suggestion.

If you are a real Halo fan you will recognize what is so great about the Halo games, and you will not ask for fussy gimmicks from other games that will dilute the effective and much-loved Halo style of play.

Go and jump in a lake, if you are a true Halo fan you shouldn't insult other Halo fans unless for a very good reason you toss; i've bought all the available books know from the bungie store and when they get here I will read them so you can leave me alone crabby pants.

Halo is a game. The books are secondary. -blam!- the books. The game is important. Let's not -blam!- it up with gimmicks. Enjoy your books if you like, but don't mess with the gameplay. I didn't insult anyone yet.

Since the SPARTAN project was hardly even mentioned in any of the games, I think after Halo 3, they should make a game dedicated to the Spartan project, where you have other Spartans for backup. You know, a SPARTAN simulator.

And at the end of the game, you go to Reach, and after all of that business, you get on the Pillar of Autumn and go into cryofreeze as the Master Cheif.

You face an opponent who has never known defeat, who laughs in foreign tongues at your efforts to survive. This is Reply suicide.

The books are there to provide you with backstory on the games themselves, and highlight areas the games didn't cover. You'll notice there are a few things in the second Halo book that didn't happen in the game. Such as the Shade on the elevator while you're escaping from the Pillar of Autumn.

And there's only ONE game I ever used the "peak around walls" move... And that was in Perfect Dark Zero. It's ineffective unless you've got a VERY GOOD place to do it, and people can't just rush you. It's an ineffective gimmick that greatly reduces gameplay from run and gun to sneak around.

I hate sneaking around. I want to be able to bust into a room, gun everyone in it down, and move on to the next heavily fortified room.

Though... I would like to be able to deplay Lotus Anti-Tank Mines or Shiva Warheads. That would be cool.
