Oh yeah, and in High Charity, you know those nasty Flood growths on the walls? Those are Brute flood. The Gravemind knew Brutes were fodder and made them so.

Why do you think this?

I think the brute skin is too thick to penetrate.

I agree doesnt it say it the books. I read it somewhere

Brute's brains must be just too small for the flood to get their tentacles around.

Hmm, I don't really know, maybe Bungie disincluded it because they would end up being too strong, I dunno

My first shot at a picture, so don't blame me if i stink

In Bungie's defense, it would appear that the Xbox just wasn't capable of doing the things the designer intended. That wouldn't be their fault. They struggled, streamlined the code again and again, but what they wanted just wasn't possible.

Given that they now have a much more powerful system to run on, I'm hoping they'll be able to fulfill their own goals and thus... fulfill our own desires.

Non-linear free wandering levels! Huzzah!

The flood can't infect the brutes because the brutes have very thick skin.

I am...whimsical today.

With regard to the Flood: A Brute's hide is too tough for an Infection form to penetrate, although this does not stop them from being killed by other combatants. It also does not mean that there will never be any Brute Flood forms, just that they will be far less frequent than the other Combat forms.

The Grunts and Jackals do not have the body structure to become Combatant forms, and so they are turned into Carrier forms (the ones that explode and hurl Infection forms everywhere)

With regard to the 'rushed' release date: Bungie set the release date, they would not state an unachievable date for themselves. The concept sketches and renders of objects such as the Mongoose and the Warthog variants do not necessarily mean that much. Remember there are concept designs, renders and even game play footage of Pre-Xbox Halo.

Maybe Brute Flood could be the Juggs. I don't know, but they certainly have enough bio mass. I think they're around the same size as an elite.

I think the Humans and the Sangheili {Elites} are related to each other in a way because there ancestors were the Forerunners.

And thats why they are the only species that can be turned into flood.

because they cut a lot of stuff from Halo 2 to reach the deadline...

they even cut whole levels, so many flood types were cut (like the juggernaught), along with Engineers, and also weapons were cut

the november 9th deadline is the worst thing that happened to the halo trilogy

are you serious that they cut a lot of thinks in halo 2? Please tell me where they say that.

as for the brute not bieng the flood was cause the levels they were in had no flood thats all. :)

Yes they cut so much stuff, even the story had to be changed to fit the time constraints, (halo 2 was made in a 10 month period). Grunt and jackels are considered too small and are turned into carriers, while elites and humans turn into combat forms. Brute flood forms were most likely cut, and hunters cannot be infected for many reason, but the two most important are the fact that they are not one creature but many, and that most hunters have borums syndrome.
