I believe we should realize that Halo is a rated M game, and that we should expect profane language. However, that does not mean that people should swear in multiplayer, for that matter.

"ESRB rating may be obsolete during online play"

Well it's something like that...
That should be somehow incorporated into the ESRB notice, but it really says "Game May Change During Online Play".

Actaully it says game expierience and I don't count language as game expierience, I just count it as a bunch of idiots online

WTF I put "experience" in between Game and May when I edited it!

I know the Christian clans would love that feature. I think I will add this to the suggestions thread.

LOL, it's so funny when I go into one of those servers and swear ONCE, then they're all like "wow kick this guy out".

"LOL" huh? I personally think it's funny how people think it's hilarious to joinservers where they dont want you swearing just to swear. Funny in an immature sort of way, I mean.

As for the idea, customizable filters would be a good idea.

It's fun being immature. :D

It's a great idea. It can't hurt anybody cuz if you wanna see the cussing, well then it's all yours. If you don't, you're good to go as well. I'd like a system that allowed you to type around 20 words you don't want to see, and have them replaced with whatever words you'd like. There are a lot of people who would find that useful. Plus, it's probably not too hard to put a system like this into the game.

Hm. I see where you're coming from, but in a game, there are just so many fuc|<ing ways around the b17chy little filter that it isn't even d4mn3d funny anymore. XD

No, but seriously speaking, though, I don't think it would be too practical. Sometimes, an expletive helps, and other times...well...remember the CE mod "Pen island?"

...yeah.

*Reminds me15ter not to bypass the "-blam-" filter*
Obviously, the choice to have a filter should be yours. The inclusion of one would be great, not that you'd have to activate it.

Um... did Kim just miss that ImSpartacus just quadruple posted?

yeah, a system that would replace words with something other than -blam!- depending on the word would be nice. all those stiffs that hate words like 'damn', '-blam!-', and anything else i can think of would only see 'darn'/'dang', and 'crap'/'poop'/'crud'/'shoot', which ever they perfer.

I'd like to use dagnabit for everything.

OK, swearing is text isn't THAT bad, I think people have made thier opinion on that, but did Halo 2 have the ability to mute players microphones? THAT would be annoying if it didn't.
