Don't judge a book by its cover, unless it has bacon on the cover, then it is a good book.

Very few brave the Flood forum. I notice moderators on this forum that I never see post in the Forum or very rarely and almost always to ban someone, not to contribute to the thread (which is fine, you are a moderator after all). Why is this though? Are you guys afraid of the power we Floodians wield? Or do you like to sit here and scheme and plot with the Mythics on how to destroy us?

Do you fear you will become one of us? give in to the dark side? I assure you, the employees have it all wrong, they use there power for good and tell you the dark side (A.K.A the Flood) is an evil place and to survive you must only moderate this forum. What is it Ninjas who only occupy this forum?

why do you fear the flood?

Thanks for the laugh.

So many questions in the OP...

But seriously, a lot of them do. The activity in The Flood forum is a lot higher then here, so their post don't stand out as much and get lost in the flood of post and topics.

So basically OP, look harder and you will find.

You act as if the mods aren't members themselves. Some have spawned from the flood and gotten tired of the constant shenanigans. I'm growing tired of the community forum and its repetition. Thank god for private groups.

What? Why would anyone be afraid of the Flood?

Because the lure of the dark side is great and they do not want to risk falling to the dark side

Perpetual Ninja in training.

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe."

Los Paranoias

A few things:

The Flood is a cesspool of decent conversations and idiots. It is not dark, it is not special, it is only a terrible forum that doesn't know how to deal with trolls.

Secondly, the mods here have been on the site longer than you OP, so I think they know more than you do about whatever there is to know about The Flood.

You're making The Flood seem a hell of a lot more interesting than it really is, because it must make you feel cool or something. I hate to break it to you, but The Flood is a lot more boring than it was two or three years ago. Hell, even before my time, I'm sure it was a lot more interesting.

But now, The Flood is nothing. It's a waste of space at times, and only serves as a resting place for those of us trying to out wait the darkness of Bungie, and those few who just don't seem to be able to give it up, for some odd and unknown reason.

Also, a ton of mods post in The Flood.

  • 10.28.2012 8:15 PM PDT

1.) "Crack In Time" - Louder Production Music
2.) "Agressive Sucks" - Moss Landing
3.) Custom Version of "Meet Oscar" - Louder Productions Music
4.) "Behind You Rise" - Distortion Music
5.) "Aurora" - Mark Petrie
6.) "Surge Down - Audio Machine

The flood is my forum home, and way better than this forum.

Why would a mod be afraid?

not a "ton of mods" mostly TU, Foman, Bobcast, and Recon. The reason we do not give up the flood is because it gives a chance to talk about things outside of Bungie and Halo. although this thread is not about that, it is about why most mods are afraid of it.

  • 10.28.2012 8:23 PM PDT

Recon does it regularly. He's a straight up Floodian.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

They don't fear anything, they probably just don't like to be around most of the terrible threads there.

  • 10.28.2012 8:31 PM PDT

Mods fear the Flood like how I fear diarrhea.

I'm not actually afraid, it is just rather unpleasant.

Break down, every single one of you.

The Ninjas are not afraid of the Flood. They just have better things to do with their time. You know, have semi-intelligent conversations. Stuff like that.

The Flood isn't half as bad as the people ITT are making it out to be.

In before CrazzySnipesomethingsomething makes one of these from one of these. :)

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Inderdig, the flood is the pits. If anyone ventures in there ever, they will literally die.

The Flood isn't an evil place. Whatever you perceive is nothing more than the nature of things. The Flood is an off topic forum. The forum attracts many more trolls and spammers simply because it is easier to get away with it there. Spam and Troll threads seem to get much more attention than legit threads, giving the perceived notion that the Flood is a bad place with only a high ban rate.

If you were to compare forums to civilizations, the Flood would be an inner city neighborhood. Low property values make it the perfect place for low income families to live. Some have nothing to lose and turn to crime. Criminals get more attention than the law abiding citizens, giving the perceived notion that inner city neighborhoods are only bad places with a high crime rate.

I see Ninjas in the flood probably on a daily basis. And i mean i see them posting, not counting locks and bans. I definitely see locks and bans daily in the flood.

Um.. is this a joke? It's not turning a mountain into a molehill to say that the Flood is a terrible place that's full of nothing but idiots? Have you ever read a thread in the Flood? Like actually read a thread in the flood? It's literally one of the worst experiences I've ever undergone. Nothing but poor literacy, ifarted69, "stick it in her pooper", inb4s, "suicide is the only option", and versus threads. Seriously. Why anyone would want to spend the majority of their time on BNet in the Flood is beyond me. I've never even posted there. That's how bad it is. I don't to taint my record by posting in that terrible place. Thanks for proving my point for me, TU.
