The Halo 2 headset is now being sold by Plantronics for 14.95 with one dollar going to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. It'll work with either the Xbox or Xbox 360. If you need the communicator as well, they'll throw that in for another five bucks.

For Carnage, Apply Within.

I have returned from the Untamed Lands. MOAP is dead.

I thought the shipping was $20?

Edit: I can't find the news story on HBO about the shipping cost. So I'm guessing it's cheap.

There's also an adapter it seems for the volume control.

I think thats a great idea and i think that there shoud be more things that you can buy and a percent will go th the Katrina Victims. Like liveStrong wrist bands,Xbox360 made one now its time for bungie to make one that says something with Halo. The wrist bands shoud be sould at almost any store.

yuch, that headset sucks. Planktronics (sp?) makes such good ones, and for halo 2 they make a crappy one.

Oh well. At least they're trying to do something good with it now. Of course, i won't go into the possible advertising their doing to get rid of their stock of them.

What is the communicator for? Also, can it be used readily with the 360?

do you have to have the adapter for the 360? Because plugging it straight in does not work. Please let me know.

I actually have the headset right now, and I've had it since it came out. I find its actually VERY good, and the few times i have heard echo from other people (that'll never happen to others because this is in-ear) its been my voice, crystal clear. I've been very happy with it since i got it, and i paid 50 for it (i was psychotic about halo at the time). So for 20, i say get it, not to mention its for the kids people. ITS FOR THE KIDS!

Plugging it straight in absolutely does work, I used it last night in the Humpday. Try it on another controller to see if there's just something wrong with that controller.

the halo 2 headset is teh sux. You have to spend like 30 minutes in front of the mirror just trying to put the damned thing on, and if you're the kind of player that jumps around alot while playing halo 2, its gonna fall out every 5 minutes. Of course its towards a great cause, but if you want to donate, just go directly to the redcross and give them the money. Then again, this thing used to be $50, so I guess it might be worth it at $15.

This is a great priice for such a good headsert. But, the website is absolutly retarded, it asks your state/province but then it only lets you if you live in the states. I REALY want one but some genious decided thatus Canadians are to cool to buy one THANKS ALOT!!!!! It would be really great if I could get one but I guess that my dreams will never come true. I'll go slit my wrists now Bye.

Kind of glad that people still want to help out with Katrina victims. It was a good while back, but I live down here in one of the many affected area's. I'm actually in one of the central locations hit hardest. (Bay/Waveland area in mississippi) Though my little neighborhood was lucky. No flooding, or major wind damage, but You can't drive down the street without seeing, or KNOWING that most of the surounding houses were either flooded out, or destroyed. Glad to know that people still think of Katrina.

Running Riot

I really appreciate the offer.
If I had the funds I would gladly pick up the opportunity.

unfortunately, I already have a Halo 2 headset, I had paid the release price on this, and my wallet would be wounded.

EXCELLENT decision.

Thank you, Bungie and Plantronics.

Yey! Now if I decide to get Live, I can get a cool headset too, with money going to Katrina victims, and save 35$ from the usual price! Yippie!

Wow. That was odd. Lol. ?_?
