Subject: I think we can pretty much guess the fate of the Arbiter now

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

343i lied to us. They said at SDCC10 that there were many different viewpoints to explore before Glasslands. That was a lie, wasn't it? Frankie said that the Covenant were overhauled. That was a lie in all but graphical terms. He said that the Storm was a faction. That was a politician's answer because what he forget to mention was that they are the only faction left.
This is relevant. And continue watching after that point, cause someone will ask about how Chief's Mjornir changed whilst he was taking his nap, and Frankie's answer is a bit different than last time it was mentioned... What was it the Gravemind would have said, ah yes: Lies for the weak, beacons for the deluded! Cause it obviously worked, they managed to buy themselves time. They sold the game to be far more flawless than they knew it was.

Yeah, that's the politician's answer I was referring to. Oh they are a faction.

"the last faction left", more like.

Wake me when the jews are gone.

So your entire theory is based on assumptions that have been conjured up from semantics?
Dont get me wrong if you are right ill be pissed off but your theory doest really have much credibility right now, i would rather wait for the third instalement in Kilo-5 trilogy before making assumptions.

I mean the fact about rising from the civil war, this could mean several things like an hyperbole or for example the USA rose from WWI, it didnt become the only power in the world or the most powerfull country but it became a big player in world politics, the same could be said from the BRICK countries after the depression, take my country Brazil for example, before the depression we were a fairly unimportant 2nd world country but now we are the 7th biggest economy in the world and have one of the bigest economic growth rates in the world.
sorry for grammar english is not my first language and my keyboard is -blam!-y right now.

I thought about this and tried to see how it would fit with the other things mentioned, but in the overall context I found that it didn't. The extent of their rise to power is indicated in the other entries, for instance the overwhelming majority being Storm Elites and the most experienced warriors being a part of it as well, as well as references to the New Covenant Order. It indicates, overall, that they are not just major players; they are practically the only player left.

ONI were not expecting Jul to escape and establish a new burgeoning Covenant either. There is little ONI could do to stop Jul toppling the Arbiter and doing exactly what ONI feared: Giving the Elites focus and real reason to destroy Humanity.(Such an obvious plot twist I saw happening from Glasslands day 1.)

It's not a matter of ONI wanting to protect Thel, it's a matter of the writers wanting to get rid of him.

Maybe, or Maybe he could have gone into exile, or blockaded himself in his keep or another colony, he could have lost the war but still exis as a government in exile.
it's quite clear that Halo 4 was centered on humanity vs Didact as there *SPOILER ALERT* is no mention of any sangheili character outside the terminals, litteraly the only actual characters that apear are the Humans, the Didact and someone else that im not going to say who it is.

+1 for you good sir.

Didn't Lord Hood come to the rescue in the Infinity? Pretty sure he's still alive.

Not all is lost. 343 can still make this right. We can have a factionized Sangheili race. I've played Halo 4 (legally) and there's nothing in the game that precludes that from happening. They leave it fairly open ended. As long as they have the Arbiter return in Halo 5 along with some in-fighting between the Sangheili, they can still make this right. It remains to be seen what they will choose to do, but they certainly haven't written themselves into a corner. I promise.

As for the people complaining about the Forerunners as enemies... it's not as bad as you think. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll just say this. It's been confirmed several times that the Didact is the antagonist, but that just means the Didact is the antagonist. Don't jump to conclusions so quickly. Like I said, it's not as bad as you think. Be patient. All will be revealed in a week.

Well I've seen/read about the campaign footage/leaks and I can't say anything positive about the Didact. I will agree though, the Prometheans are a great addition. Covies in CE never had a primary visible leader. I'll just pretend the Prometheans are hive minded enemies...

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

While I am certainly unhappy with this lackluster development, I think I'd be more upset if 343i screwed with The Arbiter. He'd probably look very weird. At this rate though, he's probably in limbo.

I would not put it past 343i to pull him out of their ass and give an excuse about how he was recovering from his injuries.
