I am a Floodian

1. Do you go out of your way to visit this website, or is it just second nature?
Tabs are always open, so second nature.

2. Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?Daily.

3. Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness? I keep tabs open for The Flood forum and the Writer's Corner, and The Septagon/Community Forum. I pay closest attention to The Flood.

4. I understand how this can relate to 'Why do you come here', but i'm looking for more specific answers to your addiction [or lack thereof]I have my reasons. I'm just trying to get ready for a moment I know is coming.

5. Are you trying to achieve a certain status amongst us? Trying to keep a PPD goal? Attempting to gain a certain pre-fix to your member title, or a whole new level all together? Do tell.I haven't figured out why my personal goal is really yet, or what drives me to hang around here, to be honest.

Oh hey there

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Second nature.

Daily pretty much.

I don't know if it's all of that or just a morbid sense of self loathing.

Everyone knows the cool kids have a PPD of less than 1.

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

1. I have to go out of my way. Here's how I visit Bungie.net:

> C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
> Edit with Notepad+127.0.0.1 bungie.net
127.0.0.1 www.bungie.net
#127.0.0.1 bungie.net
#127.0.0.1 www.bungie.net
> Save
> Open Firefox
> bungie.net
> Refresh
> Refresh
> Oh God Why
> Refresh
> Spaghetti falls out of pocket
> Goes everywhere
> Oh God Why127.0.0.1 bungie.net
127.0.0.1 www.bungie.net

2. A better question is: how regularly do I not visit?

3. Other than this forum and the Universe, no.

4. I don't even know anymore. I guess I come here regularly for the initial loading to see if today's the spontaneous day where there's a surprise update. I've been there for every update since I joined, and I guess there's something to be said for the daily excitement of ohlawdistodaytheday?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Coming up on 8 years of checking the forums at least once a week if not daily.

Roll with the hits, not under them.

No, you can't have it. But thanks for asking!

Second nature, although I do look at it frequently on my iphone, and with my eyesight, that counts as going out of my way.

Daily unless life is REALLY busy.

Combination. The Flood provides me with midnight mindless entertainment (and the rare interesting conversation), the Community Forum gets most of my lurker love, but lately I lurk equally in private groups as well.

No status goal, and I have to laugh at PPD goals... it's usually only once or so per week that I break the lurker mode and add to a discussion.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Do you go out of your way to visit this website, or is it just second nature?
I don't go out of my way, it's just something I do when I have nothing more important to do or to pass time. I guess that would be second nature.

Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?Probably every other day or so, sometimes multiple days in a row with occasional weeks of inactivity.

Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness? The Mythic group is enough to keep me coming back. This forum as well.

I understand how this can relate to 'Why do you come here', but i'm looking for more specific answers to your addiction [or lack thereof]

Are you trying to achieve a certain status amongst us? Trying to keep a PPD goal? Attempting to gain a certain pre-fix to your member title, or a whole new level all together? Do tell.
I have long grown up from my old days of striving to be "accepted". I had my days of obsession of wanting to be a mod, the days of trying to make one of the biggest and most successful groups, and now I simply come here to converse, to learn, and enjoy my stay. That's all that really matters.

The latter Daily Maine is because of the people. But of course, the answer is no. Just as no as it's ever been.

Do you go out of your way to visit this website, or is it just second nature?
It's not out of my way, I keep the tab open at all times on my laptop.
Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?
Daily. I usually refresh the page every few hours to check latest posts and see if there are any threads I'm interested in posting in.
Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness?
I don't do private groups. TBC keeps me happy, and Lobster Fish 2 is the reason I stay.
I understand how this can relate to 'Why do you come here', but i'm looking for more specific answers to your addiction [or lack thereof]
I would like to work at Bungie after college, and I imagine being a member of their community would help with getting me in the door. Besides, I love the company, and sharing this site with others with that same love feels good.
Are you trying to achieve a certain status amongst us? Trying to keep a PPD goal? Attempting to gain a certain pre-fix to your member title, or a whole new level all together? Do tell.
I started using this site again with hopes to get better prefixes and whatnot, but I've found it really doesn't matter to me. Bar colors don't effect the post quality, so I don't care too much anymore. I just post to be a part of the community.

This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends,
This is the way the world ends;
Not with a bang but a whimper.

It's my homepage, although it has become less appealing of late, as a large number of users who I know have left.

  • 10.31.2012 10:49 AM PDT

I just show up. I don't really go out of my way to show up. I come here pretty much every day (recently, anyway. I did come back from a year-long break not too long ago). What keeps me coming back is the interesting people here. I'm not looking for any status, or trying to maintain a perfect PPD ratio, I just show up, post, and move on.

Do you go out of your way to visit this website, or is it just second nature?
Second nature, I guess.

Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?Daily (if I can). I just hop on during my free time which is usually after work.

Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness?A mix of a private groups and a assortment of users.

Are you trying to achieve a certain status amongst us? Trying to keep a PPD goal? Attempting to gain a certain pre-fix to your member title, or a whole new level all together? Do tell.I'm not trying to achieve anything. B.net is the only forum on the internet that I use and something about it keeps me coming back after all these years.

I'm hoping to get a purple status bar one day. Really I'm just here because of the community. There are some really funny times and threads. I learn a lot. Everyone here has a common interest. I can deal with that.

Second nature. I am on this place everyday. I usually just lurk.

Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?Same as above, though my schedual is around 4 pm to 7 pm, not consecutively of course.

Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness? The Flood usually does, I like to read the threads and find all the idiots, them make myself look like an idiot. Other than that, I actually learn somethings from there, as well as learn other peoples opinions.

I understand how this can relate to 'Why do you come here', but i'm looking for more specific answers to your addiction [or lack thereof]

Meh, not really, I guess I would like to become known around here, but nothing like online celebraty status.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

I check a private group multiple times every single day. About once a week I go on the Flood. Also I'm humbly awaiting whenever I become a Mythic.

  • 10.31.2012 5:58 PM PDT

It's second nature...

  • 10.31.2012 5:59 PM PDT

I check this daily, sometimes without even thinking about it.

Just second nature by now. It's my top visited site, according to my tabs list.

Do you visit daily, weekly, monthly? What is your Bungie.net schedule?Daily, but for about ten or twenty minutes.

Is there a private group, main forum, or assortment of users that keep you coming back in these times of darkness? There's certainly more than a few groups, the Community and Gallery forums, and a few cool people that bring me back here,

I understand how this can relate to 'Why do you come here', but i'm looking for more specific answers to your addiction [or lack thereof]

Maybe shooting for Mythic, I guess? Other then that, I'm here for the good times and bad jokes.

2. I visit daily.

3. Community forum, The flood and a handful of private groups. My thirst for Destiny also maintains my dedication to this site.

Checking out my profile I see?

I just want to be a part of something bigger than myself, don't we all?

Edit: I post daily, usually hang out in the Flood and Community although I have several private groups as well.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

I come here several times a day, just because the community is great and a good source of news. Seriously, I've never seen quicker reaction times to such a wide assortment of various pieces of news. I've just grown used to coming here regularly. Hell, even if I was permanently put down at member status, I'd still be here just as often.

Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

I don't really go out of my way, but if I have time then I'll go on.

I also always type in the full address (http://www.bungie.net/).

I like the flood becasue it's so populated I can generaly always get a response within the hour.
