In HALO 1, when you get injured enough to be in the red and your volume is turned up, you can hear Master Cheifs heart beating. I never noticed that before.

Yea

Just another little detail that Bungie is so good at doing

It's gonna be a hoot to find all of the ones they're putting in Halo 2

I love hearing it. Makes me feel like my own death (as a person, not a player) is at hand.

Awwwww man come on. You really never noticed that before?? You don't even really have to turn up the volume that lound to hear it. Anyways, you'll always be finding out new things on Halo. Don't laugh man but just yesterday my homeboy pointed out to me that the Warthog has brakes and that you can lift the front end of the Ghost up!! Who knew??!

Well my family allways belly aches at how loud I turn up the sound so I don't get to play it like that too often...but when I do, grunts fly...even though I like to snipe.

And you are right at how you find out new stuff, wich is usually extremely unimportant and you blow way out of importence. Like last week, I noticed their are control panels inside the structure on the level HALO where it is next to the giant cliff...well, it's the only structure you can go inside of. They are on the doorways, except they have no actuall holo-buttons or whatever on them.

don't worry about feeling dumb finding new things, i read an old issues of oxm that some guy had halo for like 8 months and he had just found out that the tanks had a machine gun.

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.
My Stats

I agree with Liquid Poo, Bungie has so many details in Halo that it's easy to own the game for some time and still find new things...

An easy way to fully immerse yourself in Halo without disturbing anyone is by hooking up a pair of sick headphones (the bigger the better) to your TV and turning the volume up. You get that surround sound feeling without the house shaking and you can hear things you never thought existed.

Really? I didn't know you can hear his heart beat!

Oh dude! You just gave me and idea. The local target sells surround sound systems for only 60 bucks or so! HALO 2 should sound awsome, especially during any missions like the E3 demo. (If you noticed, you could hear Covenant (Engineers? They say they squawk and crap when they talk) talking on loudspeakers, and when that airstrike came in? The way those jets and bombs sounded on the way in...I think I would get a seisure...but a good investment! Those kinds of things give me the chills. Just thinking what it would be like if those Covies really exist(ed) and attacked earth...well, I would whip out my Pakistani hunting knife and gut me some grunt! Then I would help fight those ugly bastards off our planet. But HALO 2 would be awsome sounding. Especially with my flatscreen tv. Oorah!

I dont know if the noise was an engineer talking on loudspeekers in the distance, but you can hear the speaking when the masteri cheif is shooting his...well its at one of the parts when hes shooting a small arms weapon at some grunts or jackels...or both.

Most people who do notice it have good bass sound. You can't even hear it on my TV, so a lot of other people will never even get the change to notice it.

My tv's bass kicks in when the volume is pretty decent. Not much use when you have the volume low...and I would like to have had the controller vibrate at each beat. I think it would feel cooler in a sense.

It's Latin.....

Quod - Because/How (Exclamatory)

Erat - Was

Demonstrandum? Never heard of it.

I always thought it was a marine barking orders over a loud speaker. I sort of remember hearing a noise very similar to that at a distance on several bases that I have visited. Oh well.
