i think removing quitting is a bad idea but i do like the idea of a game that u could jump in and out of it while waiting, it would need a large party though and i dont think we will see it in halo 2, but who knows maybe halo 3?

There are better ways to deal with quitting a game than simply removing it from the menu.

Don't worry, we have a good plan for dealing with quitters. It is on the list.

An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep.

If I ever feel like I'm dealing with quitters, or idiots, I like having the option of quitting.

You face an opponent who has never known defeat, who laughs in foreign tongues at your efforts to survive. This is Reply suicide.

The best way to deal with "quitting", I've seen in Final Fantasy XI for the 360.

If you shut your console off without fully logging out..

It detects you did this, and you spend the next thirty minutes letting the console check for errors or corrupted data before the game even will boot up again.

I think Quitting should be dealt with in this way, if they shut off the console...

And a small penalty should be given to you if you quit a ranked game. Perhaps the next few games you play are 7 on 1, and you're the "one". Your rank wouldn't be affected by any of these seven on one games... And quitting any of them, rewards you with MORE seven on one games!

You'd have to muddle through 3 games of this before getting back to REAL gameplay.

But to be honest.... I hate people who stand around doing nothing all game rather than the ones who quit. I wish there was something I could do about THOSE people.

Vote to boot option if they don't move for 5 minutes or something like that maybe? Better than having them stand there giving free kills away.

No quiting would be nice. See I dont have X box live so I go to my friends house to play but when we are loseing he has a sort of break down and quits. It is -blam!-. If you have to take a dump hold it util the game is over to go. haveing how many times you quit on your gametag or somthing would be nice.... my friend would be on the top. LOL

Don’t get mad if I flame you because you cannot spell, or because my three year old has better grammar and etiquette than you.

I am really going nuts thinking about what they could be doing about quitting, maybe a time delay ban for quitting 5 games in one night, say a 12 hour ban or something.

Maybe a filter to keep quitters off your team.

But someone brought up a good point about the deadweight players, you should be booted after two minutes of inactivity.

I am really curious too see what is in the works, I am just really glad that something is.

I hope their idea to stop quitters is dedicated servers and your rank depends on how well you do not your team as much. Because with a dedicated server anyone could join at any time... or matchmaking could put you into a game with 15/16 people .

If you're waiting for friends to get on, then that's why you play a rumble game so that you don't quit on a team.

It is part of the game.. you need to be ready for it, not just whine about it.. but there isnt a solution i can think of, i mean its not like they can stop you from unplugging your wire or turning off your xbox

What if lighting strikes and your power goes out? you can't keep playing so your rank goes down (that has happened to me)

Or what if your house falls down and your tv smashes? (has NOT happened to me)

Or what if everybody else quits and you don't want to spend 15 minutes waiting for the game to end?

Or what if the game type stinks so you want to play somthing else?

I have already posted and idea about a massive game that never stops

For those who can't read and are still pointlessly debating... it's being taken care of. Nothing you can do to change anything.

Down, down to hell and say that I sent you there...

I came into the world with my legs forward and a woman cried "he was born with teeth!"

"I had no father I am like my father...I had no brother I am like my brother...And this word, "love" which old farts call divine be resident in men like you -blam!-. But not in me, I am my mother-blam!- self, alone."

You Are an Idiot

If you can't force even teams in a game at least make it to the point where if somebody quits, the game is null for rank. There's no reason one team should win over the other based on an advantage in numbers.

yes there is. its called 'i dont want to play this game anymore because there is no hope of our team winning'

EDIT: however, a lot of people quit for no valid reason and that causes a team to lose when they could have won.

Your logic right there is what prevents miracles from happening.

Or you could have read that the thread has changed a bit (not entirly though) since then and people are speculating on what it may be.

And in TS games, I think having a lower man advantage sometimes is handy, but in objective games it will hurt you.

Again people still are not reading or understanding this, I said in ranked games only, and if you really had to quit for some reason you would either just drop your controller and go OR turn off your 360.

And I do agree training games are a great way to pass time waiting, I dont care when people quit training or unranked games, it just suckes when they quit ranked ones.

I can see that most of the people saying NO tend to be quitters. Funny.

Then you wouldnt need a quit button, cause you would be turning off your 360.

No, then people would quit just to piss people off. Like, if someone quits when theres 30 seconds left in the game, just to piss people off it would suck really bad.

Yes but um some people quit because they have to go and not because they want to. Plus its hard to commnicate with your team mates to tell them you have to go. I get lucky and can tell them I have to go.
But what ever your idea is I know it will work perfectly without any problems.
