With its own multiplayer (not Halo3) along with its native firefight mode and a campaign that was as long as Halo 2 and it was called Halo: ODST...

Would you still buy it?
Would you have enjoyed it less or more?

Personally it would have probably been my favourite Halo game. In its current state i feel its too short and playing multiplayer as an odst would be fun.

To be honest, it was more of a Halo 2: ODST but I can see why it wasn't called that because of Halo 3 being out and all.

Just dance 4- Lindsey Stirling

Dead-body-ologist at The U.S. Army 18th Medical Command

Would buy either way.

Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

I liked ODST regardless.

If it had multiplayer, Halo 3 style, would have been an exellent game though.

I got it at the time for something ridiculous like 20 quid (when the supermarkets were having price wars) so even though it was a short game, I felt I more than got my money's worth.

Not to mention it having the best campaign after Halo 2. I hope we get a Halo 4: ODST at some point, though I can see Buck being an SIV.

I would have still bought it and probably spent more time on the game.

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

The story snippets in ODST are still among my favourite memories from any Halo game. They pretty much perfectly showcased every aspect of Halo gameplay. I didn't enjoy the playing in New Mombasa at night as much, on my own, but it was still good.

Online multiplayer for ODST would've been great. And all the FF maps on ODST were epic!

I just wish Bungie had raised their game instead of lowering it when it came to plot.

Hate cats.

It's already my favourite Halo game

It had my favorite single-player of all the games and-- though I cannot describe a logical reason why-- I enjoyed its Firefight ten times more than Reach's. If multiplayer had been added, I would've crapped myself. :P

For all questions with answers unknown to you, the proper procedure is to assume the answer is peanut butter.

While that may be true, I'm just going to pretend otherwise.

It was a pretty good game. It was short, but it was fun. If it had its own multiplayer, as long as it was similar to Halo 2 or 3, I would probably still be playing it.

Reach's FF was soooo much worse than ODST's.

Yes, yes, yes.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

It used 3 instead of 2 because of the engine it used.

The objective of war is not to die for your cause. It is to make your enemies die for theirs.

Yes...so much yes.

  • 11.03.2012 6:17 AM PDT

+1 for you good sir.

I'd probably buy it regardless.

ODST's firefight was more fun because it was much harder and the extra group lives were limited. You need to stick together and play it tactical.
Dodging enemies like chieftans and hunters were harder so power weapons were saved to use on them.

Whereas in reach its quite easy to jump over a hunter or chieftan and shotgun them in the back., or stick them and run away.

Plus the vidmasters made for some great times.
Vidmaster: Endure... damn those last waves were tense!

NON FACET NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRUM PERNĒ¢UM

I enjoyed ODST and thought it was a great stand alone game. It had a great ambiance and feel to it. I especially liked the night time levels with the Rookie, and locating the clues(back-story levels) to find out what happened to your squad was an awesome way to present a plot.

Well then, you somehow found my signature, nice job, so time for your prize.............FLOODIANS! ATTACK! Also, those socks do NOT make you look handsome.

iPhone 4S 64GB Black.

It should have had its own multiplayer. Maybe three or four playlists. That'd be cool. And you'd be ODST's, so it would be a totally different experience, similar to Battlefield or Medal of Honour.

Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

The only thing objectively bad about it was that it was so short.

You're saying fix that.

How could it not be better?

  • 11.03.2012 6:51 AM PDT

It's a'me, Sesto

It'd be really interesting if Bungie actually made an ODST multiplayer. It would have made the game alot better, imo, even if the multiplayer wasn't that great.
