Subject: I am curious if anyone in the Bungie community is holding out on Halo4

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

OHMAHGAWD!!! I miss you.

I won't be buying it. The storyline seems interesting enough, despite my disagreements over 343's character design; however matchmaking is being turned into something that I just do not want.

My gaming resources (scarce as they are nowadays) are being pooled into zombie games, Steam, and soon enough, Bungie.

:'(

I hide away in my ivory tower, studying, with few pickles, but more beer. The ratio is lopsided; it is a breakfast of 3rd place finishers.

Keep your inbox posted come December. Classes are out then. You bring the lasers.

Will do. Glad to see you are still around.

You're not alone.

I can't bring myself to buy another Halo game. Not through some dumb sense of loyalty to Bungie, but because I persoanlly feel the series should have ended with Halo 3.

Good luck to 343 and Halo 4, but I can't look forward to a game I never wanted to see.

Updating the Spartan when Reach came out.

I have to admit, I am pretty excited for the game. I have my doubts about the multiplayer, but the campaign seems pretty awesome.

Since I am not remotely interested in the multiplayer, I will probably wait for the last of this trilogy (or whatever it will be) to come out, drop in price, then play all three for the story.

tbh, I was always a co-op campaigner first and foremost with Halo. (except Halo 2 that -blam!- was madness!)

Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

I'm def getting it, looks awesome. Haters will always hate, but I for one think it is gonna be unreal.

Achronos: And what's this about a "design team" I've been hearing? Apparently stosh is so awesome he's now considered a "team".

I must admit, I am pretty excited for Halo 4. I really don't mind who is making it I choose if I like video games based on how good they are not who is making them.

No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

I won't be getting it.

Graphically, it looks amazing. Unfortunately, that's all it has going for it in my eyes. The proposed story doesn't interest me, a lot of other changes make it sound like they're trying to copy CoD to me and that makes me physically ill, and then the announcement that firefight is no more in favor of Spartan Ops. SOPs sounds okay, but I really enjoyed firefight; I probably spent more time doing firefight than anything else in Reach and ODST, and now it's being removed.

No thank you, 343.

Personally, I agree with this. However, I have to get it because I have to review it. I don't intend to play much multiplayer, especially with the complete oversaturation of gimmicks they are throwing into it.

Brownie lives!

"10000?"

I might, but not immediately. Once the hype wears off you can usually tell how good the game really is.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Here is my complicated chain of thought behind the problematic relationship between Bungie, Microsoft, 343i and Bungie's baby 'Halo'.

I like Halo - There is a new Halo - I will buy the new Halo.

Nope, because of the following:

1. Halo was supposed to be a trilogy (as in, ending at Halo 3), and, as vicerally exciting as milking a series for the same proven-to-be-enjoyable formula can be (down there, with the same desires that make people drink, do drugs, and vote Republican), it's always at the back of your mind that the series has gotten stale. Think Bleach and DBZ.
2. Watching playthroughs on Youtube is fun and, more importantly, free.
3. I have successfully sold my 360 in favor of money, free time, and membership in the PC gaming master race.

There are somethings I dislike about H4 but I hope I won't mind them too much. It's kind of hard to judge without playing it. No bloom and the BR coming back gets me excited for H4.

I haven't been really following up with H4, which is kind of weird since I've been so crazy for every Halo game. I bought the LE and I regret it, MS is so damn shady with their marketing. I tried to cancel it but the only way I can get my money back is if I wait for the game to get here and then send it back. Since the game was shipped yesterday I'm guessing it will get here on monday and there is no way in Hell I'll send it back then.

Cool Story Bro

I want to get it because I'm really excited to find out what happens next, and I originally had high hopes for 343. But after they announced a few gameplay changes, I decided to boycott. I still have problems with Reach, and even though I really love ODST, I think Halo should have stopped at 3.

I'm getting it, just not playing it until my exams are over.

Break down, every single one of you.

I am going to rent it and see if I want to buy it later or not. Right now, though, I still have to beat Borderlands 2.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

I decided to pre-order Halo 4. I need a good multiplayer game for my Xbox 360 and it fits what I want.

Nope, because of the following:

1. Halo was supposed to be a trilogy (as in, ending at Halo 3),

Halo was supposed to be an RTS game on the Mac, then a 3rd person shooter, finally an FPS on the Xbox.

A trilogy was never planned as far as I am aware.

And Halo 3 left way too many plot points open for there not to be a Halo 4. And that doesn't include the Legendary Ending.

Loose endings don't necessitate explanation. Gamers, people in general, really, seem uncomfortable basking in untold curiosities.

I can't attest to the trilogy bit, but my fuzzy memories tell me its existence was implicated on many a ViDoc.

Oh, and CrazzySnipe: Thanks, babe.
