if the halo must be activated as a last resort to escape from wherever you activate it you should be forced to pilote your way out of the area therfeore you should be able to pilote a vehicle you have never flown before ex. pelican, etc. the pelican should also be accessable in xbox live games. it should only be in a game with a huge map and a 16 player game you could carry your teamates to an enemy base or something

So you think you can pilot a pelican out of the galaxy in time, huh?

The pelican is a very good idea, but, if you think about it a bit, its kinda hard to realise. Sure there's the Banshee you can already control, but the mechanics of a Pelican are much more complex. (Have you noticed there are two pilots for one pelican?) Bungie would have to think of a whole now way to enable the player to use the troop transport.

Still, I can't say flying in on a raging battle is a bad idea. ^^

Have you noticed that all modern aircraft have two pilots?
One is a co-pilot, responsible for navigation, communications, and misc. tasks.
The Pilot is the one who actually flies.

I would definetly use the Pelican in Campaign, but on multiplayer or live, that's questionable.

In MP, definitely. On XBL, don't know. Only if Bungie can create maps large enough. 8 versus 8 is not big enough.

Flying a pelican is fun, but it doesnt work for multiplayer, its like a giant snowplow.

I would like it in multiplayer if there was a 16v16 game

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

Flying away fo The Ark on a pelican will not do anything to save your life if all the Halos are activated, your still dead!

You should definately be able to fly the Pelican. I fly it in Halo PC (Which isn't cheating to mod so don't flame me) and it's a lot of fun. And to whoever says it's took complicated, it handles just like the banshee and every other vehicle. W forward, and as you look it turns.

If you reinforced the pelly's hull and gave it a slipspace drive, you might be able to get out of the galaxy.

One pilot controls the weapons of the pelican for example: rockets and the turret on the front bottum of the pelican while the other controls the navigation, communication and ect. MC could fly the pelican yes, but he wouldn't be able to shoot; he would need a marine with him for that to happen. It would be much easier to have in MP because you have a team with you unless they died and have respawned somewhere else on the map which is a bugger. I don't know if this is right but it's close enough.

I'm blue da ba di da ba dai!

Depends on when you use the slipspace take time to get out of the galaxy.

Even if it did have a slipspace drive in a pelican do you know how long it would take to get out of the galaxy?

It took the Pillar Of Autumn nearly two weeks to gt from Reach all the way to Halo!

Yur still screwed either way!
