3. Gunships and Helicopters
I'm going to make this short because it is SO obvious. If there is going to be any new flying vehicles in Halo 3, it will be the Pelican, the Phantom, and the Shadow (land unit). Not the B-52 stealth bomber that shoots swords, can hold up to 100 players, and has an option to be tye-dye colored.
My point: Stay off crack.
A Collection of Weapon Ideas
This is mainly just some silly-nilly (omg...being nice sucks) things that people in the ingenious [/sarcasm] Halo 3 Forum have come up with.
2. Yes, I must discuss with you the Halo 1 Pistol of Power...again
Ok, for me, I really don't have much room discussing the Halo 1 pistol because I only played campaign on Halo 1 and messed around with gametypes. I have never been to a Halo 1 LAN party. I will just base it off of other people's complaints and arguments.
Most people believe that the H1 pistol was overpowered due to its ablilty to kill in 3-5 shots. I agree with that. Then, we have the argument over realism, that the pistol bullet is whatever size and has awesome power. Well, I think they should just bring back the Magnum. The magnum was an all around decent, close range weapon. Ohh, wait....nevermind on that, we completely SCREWED that gun. The magnum is completely pointless now. Whatever power it has left must be used at almost point blank range to be effective.
3. Grenades
"Many of us" want another grenade type. Some of us want "many of us" to go to K-Mart and buy some IQ. Some of the grenade ideas are...well...stupid (OMG I SAID STUPID!!). Fire grenades is the last thing I want to worry about. Fire grenades would save your life about as well as a drunk Spiderman.
Then, we have the people who want the EMP and Flash Bang. Why? Obviously you haven't played Battlefield 2: Modern Combat online. If you are in range of someone that threw 3 flash bangs, you can't see -blam!-. The screen is all white and all you could see are the emblems of your teammates. As for Smoke grenades, sure they would be effective if you were using it to distract the sniper but up close, what would be the point? Your enemy would still have the red crosshair.
My Point: IF the Halo 1 pistol makes its way into Halo 3, I do not, DO NOT, want to see one complaining post about how the pistol is too powerful. If I do, I will be the first one in there, to tell you, that you brought it on yourself and it's your own damn fault.
My OTHER point: Stop messing with the setup of the weapons, let Bungie decide what needs to be toned down or improved. If you decide to complain about a gun in Halo 3 and Bungie takes it into consideration and changes it, affecting all who use it, I will seriously [horrible words not even suitable for the internet].
My Other Other point: One new grenade is all we need, IF THAT. None of this ten grenade crap.

First off, pelican wouldn't really fit with the Halo gameplay, unless they introduce space battles ala star wars battlefront, which I doubt they'll do. If anything, they'll introduce a human equivalent to the banshee that has a turret and some rockets, but its probably not going to happen. Would truly would be sweet is a large helicopter that has a pilots seat and two turret operators seat on each side.. like an aerial version of the warthog (call it the HAWK, EAGLE, etc.)
Also, they should add a submachine, mini-turret or mini gauss to the side of the warthog... passenger seats are boring... i havent entered one on purpose since the first time i've played halo 1
2. Combine the first and second pistols into a new gun.. thats right, ya heard me...
How you ask? simple... it look like the M6D from halo 1 and come with a scope that can only be used when single wielding it. It'll have the same power as the magum, so approx 6 shots to knock sheidling down fully and then a one head shot kill / 2 torso shot kill. You can still duel-wield it like in halo 2, but no scoping when in that mode.
3. Needler grenade
Contains approx. a clip or a clip and a half worth of needles. Has 5 second time delay and then it unless all of the needles at the closest target, so if you throw it into a wall and you're in a hallway, you better start running, cause it'll come after your own ass. 5-10 ft with in it exploding is fatal, while anything farther sustains normal needler damage if the needles catch up to you.
