...Oh, I'm sorry, I was just busy thinking about something more important.

"Quotes are cliche!" -Meh

I loved the pelican ride in Halo 2, and getting to "flip" it afterwards trying to send myself and co-op partners into the air with it.

Good times.

For me, it would absolutely have to be the first time I played Halo 3's Multiplayer. The sheer speed and ferocity of the carnage was NOTHING like the Campaign, every second counted, one false move and BOOM, dead. I had completed the Campaign a few times on Legendary, so I was pretty well versed with the game - but nothing could have prepared me for the Hell-storm of Matchmaking.

My best Halo memories are tied to the community, and the awesome people who I have grown real friendships with over the years, as well as the co-op bonding sessions with my wife. (She's a gamer, too. I'm very lucky for that) Haven't been to active lately, as my kids have taken over my life.

However, I will say looking back now, I'm kinda kicking myself in ass for not preordering Halo 4. I was really skeptical, and after reading numerous reviews, I realize I was wrong to not pick it up. But that leaves something for the wifey to get me for christmas. Lol

Sorry I missed this, I haven't been on the forums in a few days because I've been... well, playing Halo 4.

Good post though. So many good times since 2001 when I became a Halo gamer. Thanks Bungie.

Looking forward to the beginning of the new era here, though!

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

My best memory would be coop grenade jumping through New Mombasa with the Sputnik skull on in Halo 2. Best thing ever!

Progo, Shrew, Chryso, all are the same.

I would say that Bungie is thinking "Now the gate has been unlatched!" They are totally free to explode new awesomeness all over the gaming world, and they will.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

I have many a fond memory of playing the Halo games throughout the years, but one that I recently relived, was the Off the rock, through the bush, nothing but jackal sequence. I remember thinking, damn, Marty really outdid himself here, and Cortanas comment right after, and how responsible I felt for the marines safety.. So many feelings bubbled up. Gave me the chills. I just paused the game, went to the fridge and poured myself a glass of Coke, and took a deep breath from the crisp evening air. Seconds later I was back, sniping pesky Jackals.

Soon(TM) marks the beginning of a new era.
The darkness is the void before the big bang, the calm before the storm, the Soon(TM) before the New Hawtne-- Sorry, Bungie.next

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.

I believe that Halo 4 was one of, if not the best, Halo game. That is not a slight at Bungie, no, I simply feel that 343i was able to tap into those elements that made the past Halo games so good and amplify them.

The new era has already begun, and we are the Forerunners.

Thanks for the kind words, T1d3.

However, at Bungie, we are far more interested in the beginnings of eras than we are in the ends of them.

Not much really changes tonight. Bungie is still here. We still make games we want to play. Halo is still a good game - or at least that seems to be the case.

And, the Bungie Community will be a passionate mob who loves to engage in heated debate about all things game-related - and otherwise. It will be interesting to see what you have to say about this game, and to play it with you. Above all else, remember that some of our good friends bled for Halo 4, and we want nothing more than for them to succeed.

I want nothing less than for 343i to succeed. I have high hopes for this game, and I'm going to the midnight launch party tonight to pick my copy up. I never want to see anyone fail (unless it is Auburn).

Anyone else ever wonder what it's like for two elcor to do the nasty?

"Tentatively excited: Oh. Oh. Oh. Right there."

Yeah me neither.

I have never felt more detached from the Halo universe than I have with Halo 4. Not to discredit the game because it really is a lot of fun to play, good story, visuals and what have you.

I'm just in the process of trying to get reinvested into the universe since it left Bungie.

Honestly I'm more excited and looking forward to see what Bungie is capable of doing with their new (non-Halo) IP!
