Too much amo, and it's as strong (or stronger) than the rocket launcher.

You should of made up your own instrument. You could have named it the PolarLighting -a-phone. People would buy it and they would all be like "Awh, He's so cool for inventing the PolarLighting-a-phone."

1. It has too much ammo for it's own good.
2. It is too strong for the amount of ammo it contains.
3. Those green blobs aren't healthy for the game's frame rate. Too many of them can cause some serious laggage.

The fuel rod takes three shots or more to kill a hunter. \Rocket takes one or two.I takes 5 shots to take out a banshee. so its not 'too powerfull' next.

H&P is right, my frind and i tested them both on each oter and on enemies in campaign it is weaker but itbalences out with ammo

And you know this because it's in Halo 2 multiplayer!? NO!
It's not the same as in H:CE. And even if you use it In H2
campaign it kills in one shot (if you can actually hit them).

And, hey, I'm glad yo see you're ability to copy and past is up to par.

The weapon is not unbalanced it was only not featured in multiplayer due to FPS reasons (Frames Per Second) regarding the lag that would be generated with firing multiples of these weapons along with all the other particle affects.

As for balance all the halo 2 version of the gun needs to be much more balanced than the lock on rocket would be to cut it's overall ammo by some ammount.

Other than that it's weakness towards vehicles and it's slow moving non lock on projectiles make by far one of the most balanced weapons in the game. Powerful but very flawwed unlike certain current auto kill rockets.

I belive they balanced it out, then tried it in MP and the FPS went bad, so it was done and everything but the problem was the FPS, so we might see it in Halo 3

It could probably work in Halo 3 though.

I tried to make a gametype called Predator where you had a fuel-rod cannon and an energy sword, human weapons on map, overshields (to make you a bit more visible), active camo, and extra damage (to eliminate somewhat the effect of overshields), but there was no fuel-rod cannon. Boo...

i was in MP in Halo PC and it warped the Framerate, but with the 360 im sure they can fix tha issue

I think it should only be in large maps like waterworks or containment. That might help the balance issue. But it should never be in a small place like ivory tower or lockout.

In Halo 3 for the 360 they need to make 1 of the 360s three CPU cores dedicated to the Fuel Rod and its green glow of FPS doom...


Lol, seriously, the fuel rod needs to be in Halo 3, I have a very hard time seeing any framerate issues on the 360.
