Subject: Reach wasn't worth a goodbye.

I remember when Halo 3's time was up, my friends and I had a huge sendoff day for it. I haven't even thought about Reach all day. I'll never forgive Bungie for how much of a letdown that was. Maybe I'm just getting older, anyone else not give Reach a sendoff?

I didn't either! I don't really care.

  • 11.05.2012 8:37 PM PDT

All it gets is a cold shoulder.

  • 11.05.2012 8:55 PM PDT

Different Perspective

Agreed. Halo 3 was far superior to Reach.

Probably because Reach was such a great time you aren't really leaving it and will come back some day, which is why you aren't saying goodbye.

What you see with me is what you get. I would rather be hated for what I am than loved for something that I'm not.

I am who I am, not who you want me to be. Your approval isn't needed and your opinion isn't required or desired.

Ehhh I gave it a goodbye last Saturday.

I played Halo 3 tonight instead of Reach. I wasn't saying goodbye to Halo 3 though. I always come back =)

Anyone else not give Reach a sendoff?

Nope:
The game has no memorable campaign levels.(Halo CE and Halo 2.)
The game has no memorable multiplayer maps.(Halo 3.)
The game has no memorable custom games.(Halo 3.)
I didn't meet any memorable people.(Halo 3.)
There is nothing in this game that makes me want to remember it.

Daw. Halo 3 was an entire chapter of my life, that I reminisce upon fondly. Reach was just a cool game to play every now and then. Didn't have even close to the same impact on me.

Same here. The majority of my friends list at one point was from Halo 3. One of them I managed to meet in real life. I had great times playing the MP and especially custom games. I wish I can say the same about Reach, but I can't. You can tell Bungie made that game just so they can get out of the Halo deal with MS. They didn't put the same amount of effort they put into Halo CE-Halo 3. Instead of giving it everything they had because it's their last Halo game. They went under the amount of effort.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Yes, there are some problems to it, but I still like it.

No, Reach was too awful to have a sendoff.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

lol ... trying reading his post.
Kinda spells it out, the game was a turd and bngie was the unforgiven layer of that turd. No 'Probably' about it.

Anyone who is playing H4 will wonder how bungie screwed up, and with the same engine (their own engine).
