Congratulations! Being able to have your OWN money to spend or to do whatever you want is definitely worth working for, even if you don't get paid much.

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

I've been working since I was 12. Thats 7 years of jobs, babysitting, dogwalking, camp counseloring, photographer's assistant, operations coordinator, animal handler / nursing assistant at the worlds largest animal hospital, video production assistant, Garde Manger/Pastry at 2 restaurants....

Nobody really appreciates the value of gettin your hands dirty. I graduated high school with a resume to put a bachelors degree to shame.

Yup.

To be honest, college is a great idea, if you want to go to adult high school. Same Idea, except your schedule is more spread out, and you live at school. It's all based on the desire to meet people, get wasted, and sleep wwith as many women as possible. Which is fine, but it teaches you absolutely nothing useful in real life, takes thousands of dollars away from you, and leaves you with a piece of paper worth only slightly more than a diploma. I was working bachelors degree level jobs when I was a freshman in high school.

Wow, that made me feel really, really lazy...
I might have gotten a job, except I would have troubles betting transportation, and I tend to have a lot of homework what with advanced classes...
They should end up being worth it, though. I hope.

Oh, yeah, congrats! Money good...
Although does this mean we'll see less of you on the forums? Say it ain't so!

Good job Stalin.I too would love to have a job but woe is me I'm not old enough. And as for cutting grass and what not it's kinda hard when there's not much around. And as for that explination of college even though you can do all of that if you take it seriously it can be a great thing.

Good job Stalin. Remember to work hard and your employer will reward you with a promotion or raise.
I'll be 16 next summer, so hopefully I can get a job at the gas station down the street.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

I'll explain this mathematically!

Work=Money (unless its that volunteer crap)
Needs/Wants= - Money
Money + Needs/Wants = Satisfaction
Therefore, since needs/wants is -money, and since work is money, Work + needs/wants = money - money = satisfaction = 0.

Zero, zilch, nada, folks! It all cancels out... No satisfaction, and no money. That's life in a currency-based economy... Whatever happened to the good old days when bartering thrived like mosquitoes?

Oh, and congratulations... jobs are always a fun experience (I have 3)... until you look at the math...
