...Oh, I'm sorry, I was just busy thinking about something more important.
"Quotes are cliche!" -Meh
So I started another play-through of ODST yesterday (because it is awesome) and found an interesting possibility. I'm not sure if someone else has publicly discussed this but when I was going through the streets I found this now popular advertisement hinting at Destiny and Dead Orbit, I noticed something I'd missed before, and that's Asklon.
Now I had never seen this company in previous Halo's unlike Traxus, so my curiosity got to me and I started wondering, "could this be an asset for Destiny?" As we all know, ODST is riddled with hints at Destiny, so why should this be any different. I looked into it and apparently Asklon is a "German Automotive Industry" that only appears in ODST. Now whether or not Bungie or Microsoft owns the rights to Asklon since its in a Halo product, I don't know, but for now lets think of ways Asklon could be incorporated into Destiny.
Now since Asklon is a vehicle manufacturer, I think it may be possible for them to be suppliers for the different factions - seeing as how they don't sound like straight up government military and more like militia - for all their land, air, sea, and most likely space transportation needs. Having multiple factions wanting exclusivity to one supplier sounds like a cool idea to me.
Now this is just speculation on an extreme level, but it sounds like a cool possibility and we all know how fun it is to speculate about Destiny. Any thoughts?
