even then the halo rings are only located in the halo galaxy so lighting one off is just going to kill yourself and the star wars galaxy unscrathced.
1) They can move through slipspace.
2) Standing on a Halo ring, making a jump to slipspace, hiding in a shield world, or hiding outside its range protects you. They would merely have to drop the seven rings somewhere in the Galaxy Far Far Away, and even if one of them is destroyed before they fire (somehow, space is huge, so finding it in a random location is unlikely), the other 6 would still wipe out so much of the Star Wars universe the Jedi would commit suicide over the force shockwave that just ensued.
Hyperbole, perhaps, but still a good meassure of how boned Wars would be if that happened.
So post-Halo detonation, anyone still alive (somehow) would have to contend with the Forerunners, the industrial capacity of whom most Wars factions would struggle to comprehend, the ancient human empire, who had similar capability, the Flood, the mathematically perfect organism who (I'm assuming) has already ascended to Forerunner-era levels of lethality, The joint operations of the UNSC and Covenant, and last but not least, the god-like race of eldritch abominations who traveled the universe, lived forever, created and threw away civilizations like the Forerunners on a whim, and used building material that was completely indestructable to any form of damage outside of a neural physics weapon. Who, outside of the Halo detonation as described above, pretty much act as a wild card factor insta-win against any faction that doesn't have A) divine powers with no limits, or B) a Halo.
Good luck!

only more advanced than unsc. a star wars super star destoyer the size of Vader's vs a covenant super carrier? no contest. carier wins.
Please, the Infinity rammed their cruiser that was about 3km.
I still think that's bull-blam!-. It takes 3 mac cannons to take down a covenant ship's shield. How oin the hell can the Infinity destroy a covi ship but simply ramming it.
Because it was cool to watch?
Well that's true, but it dosen't really make sense canon wise.
becuase the infinty was massive compared to that tiny ship and hit it sideways.
Also, Infinity has shields. Much better shields.
