You can't copyright the color black. Of course you can. Ever notice how breast cancer is associated with the color pink and the United States is associated with red, white, and blue? The government controls all of your colors skenny.
Sorry to burst you bubble, but you can't copyright colors. That something is associated with a color doesn't mean that the color is copyrighted. Also the pink ribbon is copyrighted for breast cancer research, not the color pink. And the red white and blue in the flag of the USA can't be copyrighted but the flag itself can with those colors, so that nobody else may use those colors on a similar flag.
