Take a step back with me and enjoy a taste of the bittersweet that is our current generation.
I enjoy Battlefield and Call of Duty, and Gears of War.
20 years old, manager of my family's business, aspiring officer of the law.
I love anything political.
When I play Halo 4 (very sparingly), it's 'fun', but it doesn't have the feel that the previous games had. Lack of map movement incentive and and map/weapon time/control waters down the gameplay so much. I only move around the map because I get bored and want to kill the enemies.
I was a very high level player in Reach/h3, top 1% and multiple 50s, but I have not played high level in Halo4. In my estimation, gameplay will be stagnant due to the power and range of the DMR coupled with lack of map incentive.
The exposed at every angle thing somebody stated does hold some salt, and it is a product of instant respawn. It simply isn't suitable for a Halo game.
In a perfect world, the game would have a 4 shot kill BR just like H3's but with less spread and similar predicatble recoil like Halo 4 has, a 5 shot Dmr using it's current kill speed, and other rifles which may actually serve a purpose as well as no sprint. Add POWER weapons to the maps and give personal ordinance along the lines of niche weapons like needlers, rifles in AR gametypes (there should be set starting weapons), etc.
I do like the game so to speak, but the opportunity cost against Blops 2 is just too high for me to play unless my brother or actually friends are playing.
