Subject: When a thread is reported, should the title be hidden as well?

Perhaps after a thread becomes hidden from reports, the title could change to (Reported) or something.

A lot of people get games and movies spoiled because some guy posts it as the title, and when ninjas aren't around a lot of people see the thread. If the thread is reported at least people won't get instantly spoiled just by looking at forum topics.

Idk if this has been discussed before, I just felt like mentioning it because a lot of people have been spoiling Halo 4's ending in the titles.

There was a feather in the chicken. It wasn't even a white feather, it was a black feather.

Not really, because some threads are reported unjustly.

Hardly often enough to matter.

I don't think I've ever seen that happen personally, but I'm not here all the time.

I think they should OP, the reward is worth the risk.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I'd click on a reported thread just to see why it was reported. Counter intuitive if I do say so. Curiosity killed the cat.

I've noticed those threads too.

Maybe not hidden, but censoring out the title with "-blam-" doesn't seem like a bad idea.

A good question, but I'd keep the threads just how they are once they're reported. It's the users' choice if they want to see the reported post itself, but because of simple Halo 4 spoilers, I don't believe the title of a reported thread should be completely erased or hidden from a forum.

Maybe there could be a little + in that situation too for people to click-expand and see the original title if they wanted.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

That would be useful.
Along with hiding the name of the OP, because they can make a name that spoils games and such also.

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

If this happens I feel we will see a great increase in reporting just for the lulz

I was thinking about this the other day when I saw a blatent spoiler for Halo 4 in the Flood. I'd already finished the game, so it was alright, but I felt bad for the other members. It was just there in your face.

I think it would be a good idea, but I'm not sure if the titles are currently linked in the same posts are to reports. Would be a good thing to have implemented for Next.

"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle- victorious"

This is an excellent idea. They should implement this into Bnext.

Sure but there's a game or movie coming out soon, or that you've yet to see, then are you really going to take that risk? I know I wouldn't.

Not half bad of a suggestion. As long as you can extend the title if you are too curious to let it go, then I don't see much of an issue..I would think once it's reported, a site mod has to approve/edit/lock the thread and if it was unjustly reported, it would be returned to normal. It kills me inside when I read a spoiler in a title. Happened last month in the flood with a Halo 4 major spoiler/leak :(
